Start from Scratch

The calendar pages turn

The sun continues to burn

The sky goes on to churn

So this is a fresh start?

So now we begin again?

So I empty out my heart?

So this is twenty-ten?

The birds continue to fly

The dying go on to die

The liars remain to lie

So now we begin again?

So now we fix what we’ve made?

So this is twenty-ten?

So this is the new decade?

The children continue to sing

The bells go on to ring

The birds flap each wing

So now we fix what we’ve made?

So it’s time for new memories?

So this is the new decade?

So this is our century?
