(12/26/10) Ashley's Little Hattery Announcement- Why Orders are Sluggish & Update on New Feature

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that the orders are being produced really slowly because of my lack of Photoshop knowledge. I'm like "Crap, how do you crop?!" and "How do you resize?!" and "What the heck am I doing?!?!" I'd use my GIMP, if only it'd work.. My dad says that Photoshop makes all the other editing software unable to use. Sneaky. But on the bright side, I'll learn how to use Photoshop faster! I'm reading some basic tutorials, so don't worry, I'll get it figured out soon! Please be patient with me.
Also, you know that new feature I was talking about a few announcements ago? Well, I selected trophies. However, I've decided not to do it after a night of thinking over it, for this reason: When Kyle began to award shows, he said that he didn't want it to be about winning or losing. I think that if I did nice trophies for the winners, it'd encourage the winning spirit too much, and people who didn't win might feel worse. So I've decided that no trophies is probably the best for everyone.
I can't do the other ideas either right now because of my lack of Photoshop skillz, but I am thinking of doing a manga to make up for all of this (Not digitally, my dad says he can fix the scanner now)! I figured I wanted to draw yet write at the same time, so it just hit me today that I can do a comic! A manga is like a Japanese style of comics. I'll still make it read left to right, American style. I won't give away too much since the meer story plot is through rough draft stage, but it'll be really awesome when I finish!

Yeah, I almost finished it until I downloaded Photoshop and it made my GIMP all weird. I'm almost done with it now, I'll post it either today or tomorrow depending when I'll get home from volunteering!

I have a question about your covers.. You know how they have the little Ashley's Covers trademark in the corner. How did you make/get that? Cause I want one for my covers.
I've always wanted to put a funny quote from my life into a sig. But there are to many and frankly they won't fit in the sig box!!
Oh, what you do is that you create a logo, whether you play around with words on top of each other, or you make shapes with words, or however you want your logo. Make sure you save it with a transparent background and as a .png! After that, close the file then open it up again. Use your rectangle selector tool to selected the entire logo, copy it, then paste it onto your cover! Play around with the logo's opacity to make it blend in with the cover more.
