365 Poems~Caterpillars & Butterflies

CATERPILLARS & BUTTEFLIES

A.N.: So this is a new project I'm starting up. Every day I'm going to write at least one poem every day until my next birthday, and if I write more than one poem then I pick one for the official 365 Poems thing. So yeah. This one is the poem for yesterday...that I didn't get to post on here because I wrote it at eleven p.m.

When Katie draws clouds,

they are caterpillars

Crawling together, sprawling together,

created by the hand of a girl,

bored out of her mind,

in science class.

And Ronald points up

up at the sky

and says,

"Look! A caterpillar!"

And we take it as a joke

but he's right

Clouds are caterpillars

and they rain down as butterflies
