Beach
in somewhere
As my feet touch the grainy tan sand
I smell the bitter salt in the air
The frothy, warm waves crash against the damp shore
My bucket is filled with seashells but I'm urging to collect more
A small ghost-like crab scuttles from right behind my feet
A fish is scooped up in a pelican's beak
Getting splinters from the old worn out pier
When I finally catch a fish, I let out a cheer
During the days, in the smoldering sun
A dip in the ocean is lot's of fun
But at night in the salty breeze you can see
The waves rolling gently in the sea
The echoes of the ocean
Gently lull me to sleep
And then you know
You're at the beach

Beautiful! You make me miss living in Washington State by the ocean... :'(
Read my story The Providers please! :)
Well thank you! ;)
2I really like this poem. It is sweet and cute, the type of thing you'd find on magnets and other trinkets. I love all the rhymes, but I have a tiny bit of CC- The first couple of lines dont rhyme but the rest do, so it sort of changes the beat and pace of the poem. Other than that, a really nice poem:)
