Buttons-prologue

I walked up the hill with the feeling of sadness covering me. It was a warm spring day, perfect for 

hanging out at the park or chasing some guy you liked.  But, it was not the kind of day for your mom to

 come anounnce to you,"guess what honey? were moving tomorrow!" Yah! how about we all celebrate and go wild?! 

No! that's not how i plan to spend my life, moving every week because of some stupid job my dad got that includes

painting hideous pictures!

       I sat down and began to look at the valley below my house. I could see the market where my mother bought her 

food and cooked into something delicous. I had a feeling tonight my mother's meal would taste like a bag of hair.

I got up from the hill and ran down it, letting my black hair thrash around my face. Then, for a second ,(i don't

know at all why i did this) i sat right down, mid hill and started to cry. My mother came outside to see me, and for

a few minutes, everything was okay. My mother stroked my head calmly saying, "it's okay Cassidy, we'll be on our way 

soon, we'll be on our way soon."
