A/N: This chapter was supposed to be suuuuuper long, but I didn't want to have it all crammed into one page, so what's going to happen will either continue in Chapter Four Part Two or I'll just make it be Chapter Five (it'll probably be just called Chapter Five) enjoy and please comment!

Chapter Four

After a relaxing shower, I made sure to put some hair product in so my hair didn't go all untamed. I applied some make-up but made sure that I looked finicky and natural, not all tramp-ish. I put on an attractive long yellow V-neck that covered half of my super short shorts that were splashed with black paint. I slid my feet into black, dirty Converse and set a silver heart necklace on my neck-- but for some reason, I didn't feel ready, but of course I had no way to figure out the problem because of the sudden knock on the door.
My reaction? I squealed.
JC's reaction? She squealed even louder.
"OhMyGoodness! How do I look?" I whispered frantically, brushing one strand of hair over and over again.
"You look fine!" she whispered back, bringing some of my hair in front of my shoulders.
"Fine? Fine isn't good enough!" I was only feet away from the bathroom, and I'm sure JC saw my intentions.
"You're not going to lock yourself in that bathroom, now go answer that door!" she pushed me toward the entrance of our cabin while she grabbed Madeline's arm and dragged her into the closet while she kept squirming and complaining of how crazy we were being.
"Is that really necessary?"
"Just go!"
I threw my hands in utter anxiety accompanied by low shriek of fright. Another set of knocks came; they seemed to be like sonic booms right next to my ears, echoing inside my head with no intentions to stop. Finally, I wrapped my hand on the doorknob and twisted, but only a smidge, just to see what was going on. Was he nervous or tranquil? The first thing I noticed was his appearance: he wore a white button up shirt with thin, vertical, gray lines, straight dark jeans, and his own much more dirtier Converse than mine. His hair was dry and straight with a streak of shine that settled at just the right angle on his head. I noticed he was focused to what he held in his hands—a flower. A white one. It wasn’t like a regular one with five or four petals. This was a big ball of petals with a yellow dot in the middle. Possibly one of the most stunning floras of my life.
“Okay, umm,” he began to mumble to himself, because it didn’t seem like he noticed me watching. “Rikki—no.  This is for you—no! Get it together, man!” he slapped his forehead, then rubbed his bright green eyes with his fingers as if he were in grand stress. To stop his strain, I lastly opened the door.
”Justin?” I whispered, soft but loud enough to be heard.  He glanced up, his eyes distracted and confused, but soon they turned to passionate and serene.
“Rikki, umm, here. This is for you.” He held out the flower to me but just as I was about to take it, he yanked it back in a sudden jerk. “Uh, wait.” Instead of letting me take it, he placed it right behind my left ear, and since my hair curls were knotted (but looked good in a way), the flower was safely tucked in.
“There.” He smiled and put his hand down next to his side. “It’s a chrysanthemum, by the way.”
“Thanks,” a smile spread across my face while my cheeks were turning JC’s hair color. He grabbed my hand and began to lead me away from my cabin, and at the touch of our hands if felt like the perfect fit. At the touch of his skin, it was as I could feel his blood pulsing, and by feeling that rhythm, it was as if his heart was beating right by my ears.
“Are you ready to see your carriage, my lady?” he joked, his voice attempting an English accent. I let out a sweet, true laugh and nodded, right around the same time he laced his fingers with mine. “Believe it or not, you’re my princess tonight. And as your prince, I’ll do anything to make you happy.”
“Oh, so you’re a charmer?” I giggled, my accent dripping heavily from each word. Before he responded or moved another step, he began to hesitate. At first, he eyed me suspiciously, then, he said:
“Can you say that again?” he asked.
“Say what?”
“Where are you from?”
“I’m from Much Wenlock, England.” I started to get a bit freaked out at his sudden reaction to my accent. It was my accent, right? “Why?”
“Because I didn’t know you had a drawl.”

I couldn’t help but snort at that.

“How could you not notice my accent? It’s so heavy! You’d have to be a deaf to not pick it up!” I was nearly dying of laughter, but all he did was smile somewhat.
“Well, you barely talked this morning and afternoon, so it wasn’t very noticeable. That’s why I asked you to come. I wanted to get to know you. I wanted you to talk. It seemed as if you were…in a…shell.”
He sounded crazy…no offense
. Even though I tried to hide the fact that he was acting like a nutshell, my silver eyes said otherwise.
“Believe it not I do have a point.” He twined his fingers through mine once again, and for a second, we just stood there, under a large leafy tree that had a hammock hanging under it; when our eyes met it was as if there was a magnetic pull between us. I noticed that there was something more to his green eyes. They were...
Emerald.
Shimmering.
Eternal.
His eyes were forever scarred into my memories, and I had absolutely no problem with that.
"Yo! Lovebirds! Get your butts in this trunk!" We were interrupted by the John's voice, one of the counslers. He slammed his hand on the side of his old truck, then got into the drivers seat. We headed over to the car and before I could open up the door of the back seat, Justin stopped me.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"Getting in the car."
"Rikki, we don't ride in the backseat, we ride in the trunk." He signaled over to the trunk of the truck. The open area where on a road trip you'd put your luggage.
"What happened to a regular school bus?" I whimpered, worrying for my hair, but still looking forward to this date.
