The Car Crash: Chapter Five

The next day, Kima and Tamon looked over the facts about their families deaths. "Okay. So both our families were on a road three hours away from eachother, and barely anyone travelled on that road. What does that tell us T?" Tamon shrugged. "Probably means that whoever wanted to kill killed cleverly, where no one would suspect." "I dont know. It seem freaky. Since it is a barren place, it'd be easier to kill there." Kima looked out the window from the dining room table.

She had a sudden inspiration. 'How about we go there? I read the records and I saw that no one had driven on it since our parents were killed, and they havent cleaned it! Plus, I have a destroy-proof car that I had specially made. I went to the place last year. How 'bout it?" Tamon, who'd been listening the whole time, just nodded. "But we do need some snacks. We could get hungry on the way there." Kima scoffed. "Is all you boys ever think about is food?" Tamon smirked. "We'll bring some anyway, and some back-up supplies. "We're going today."

She stood up and grabbed Tamon. She was surprisingly strong. "I guess weight-lifting paid off." she muttered. Tamon grunted. About an hour later, they were packed up and in her SUV. "Nice ride," Tamon commented. Kima smiled, then pulled out of her driveway. It was quiet through most of the ride, and they passed through Durma. Donna, who was watching, narrowed her eyes slightly. She still hated Kima. Alexander had seen the tape, and divorced her. Donna had begged, and pleaded, but Alexander wouldnt budge. He forbid her from leaving Durma, calling her a wolf's head. And he kicked her out of the council, a huge blow.

He had then since remarried and had five children by two woman. Donna was one of them, having her twins after the divorce. Kima had nodded, and drove on. At night, they were still on the road. Her tank was still at the full meter, and Tamon had fallen asleep. As she stopped for the night, and tinted her windows, she switched seats with tamon, who was to drive the next day. He kissed her, on the lips, and she blushed and said goodnight.
