Chester Flash: The Sky War (Page 2 Chapter 1: I Fight Flying Rats)

I saw Mrs. Vega in her closet. She was getting something. I quickly took some yellow paint, red paint, and some blue paint!

Before I could get away, Mrs. Vega saw me.

“STOP RIGHT THERE!” Mrs. Vega shouted.

Josh and I froze. We litterally froze! We could move everything except our legs!

“YOU’RE TAKING MY PAINT!? YOU THEIF!”

Mrs. Vega took a pencil, and began to draw on a blank piece of paper. The picture looked like a rat… with wings. Suddenly, the picture peeled itself from the page.

It glowed in the air, and then suddenly came to life! I gasped. A rat with wings! I tried to move, but couldn’t.

The rat flew toward me, showing its sharp fangs!

“AHHH!” I screamed.

I clapped my hands to try and slap the rat, but I suddenly began to shine. My skin turned bright yellow, and then I was able to move!

I looked beside me, and Josh had bright skin too! Not only that, but he was also able to move as well!

That’s when I tried to run out the art room, but Mrs. Vega said a weird word!

“Mat Mat!” She shouted.

The doors locked! Josh and I couldn’t escape! Mrs. Vega drew more flying rats, and they popped out of the paper!

They flew all around me, trying to bite my face! Somehow, I managed to fight them. I just waved my hand, and light sparked in my palm. I shot some light at the flying rats.

“Foolish Sunshine Master! Do not mess with the power of evil art!” Mrs. Vega shouted.

What did she call me? A Sunshine Master? What in the world is a Sunshine master!?

“Dude, this is so crazy!” Josh shouted, trying to smack the flying rats away.

Some of the light in my palms traveled to the exit door. The light unlocked the door, and I was able to leave! As Josh and I ran out of the art room,  I dropped my cans of paint. I was so scared that I didn’t notice I dropped it.
