Consequences- Chapter 7 ( Third day on the run..)

in my house, on here, writing. Like you!

The road ahead of me is really pretty. Who couldn't adore those California waters? (Okay, technically we're not in California, but the only road signs I've seen so far are for the border.) Driving along the cost is mad magnificent. It's been now only been about two hours since Perry came- Every time I ever refer to time in this book I'm wrong unless I look at my watch. Which I'm not doing right now. Everyone's agreed we are in need of a shower and hot meal tonight, but I said tomorrow we have to camp out in our car again, but that would be hard since tomorrow we're going to be in a big city (A.K.A San Francisco.) I found at that from Portland to San Francisco was only like, ten hours, but it feels like we drive so long with all the stops and stuff.

"We're approaching Coos Bay, some funky seaside town. Let's go and relax." I say quickly turning in the Highway Exit. I get greeted by sand and water, little colored houses and lots and lots of sun bathers.

"I forgot my swimsuit." Gigi sulks.

"We all did." Justine mutters.

"We weren't expecting to have fun did we?' I said, laughing, which wakes up Perry, who has fallen asleep. She smiles at me and gives me the thumbs up.

"I've never really been to the sea side..." she says quitley.

"We'll show you how us beach bums do this. Just go wade in your clothes!" I say as we pull into the sandy parking lot and jump out.

We run around the length of the beach. Bare feet and dirty clothes. It was exhilarating, I tell you! The waves met our feet as they swept up sand castles and occasionally some toy. The sun beat her down our sweaty backs. I called up everyone, breathing heavily and stopped by a food vendor.

"Six Chili Cheese Dogs, Six ice suckers- Strawberry, Grape Lime.." " BOYS AND PERRY! WHAT'D YOU WANT?" I shout, interrupting my order.

"Two Limes and a Strawberry." I hear Mikey faintly say.

"You heard them." I tell the guy who sits and the stall. He smiles and turns around, grabbing the ice suckers from the freezer and putting them on a tray, then getting another tray for a pile of dogs. I carefully carry the items to a picnic table. We have to try eating our dogs and ice sucker (Popsicle? Don't know WHAT I'm supposed to be calling it now'days) at the same times, which tastes good but is NOT a pretty sight, with Mikey and Perry mostly. But what could make this day become better? I don't know. But in the back of my mind I think....How far are they going to find us still? Are more posters up?
