The boy sat down in the front room. He looked around at Henry, and his family.
“I was running from that thing from ages, and I thought… Get inside. You’re safe there. So when I saw your house, I just came in. I think it’s gone, now.” He smiled. “Thanks.” They all looked at him, like he was crazy. “Oh, by the way… my name’s Asher.” He stuck his hand out, for Henry’s dad to shake. Henry’s dad shook it.
”Fred. You can stay in the spare room, until this blows over.” He nodded his thanks, and walked to the door.
“I feel for the guy. I knew her.” Henry looked up in confusion.
“Who, my dad?”
“No, the zombie. Her name’s
“You can’t go outside!” Henry hissed trough his teeth. Asher looked at him oddly, and then smiled.
”no…” he muttered to himself, and walked off. Henry watched his back as he walked off, then after a moment of thought… ran after him.
“What? Who are you?” He asked, as he stepped into stride with Asher. The sun was nearing the highest point in the sky. They walked, and Henry spoke to Asher about all that had gone on. Asher seemed to know all about the zombie. It was like he had been through this before…
