Juvie - Chapter One, Part Two

Lucky in the bathroom. You gotta go when you gotta go! :P |
As Susie entered the cafeteria, she scanned the room for the latest news of what was going on.
NEWS:
1) The jocks were dumping a nerd into the trashcan.
2) The brainy people were playing a game of chess.
3) Tyler Turner, a local athlete, brainy student, and popular who turned down the jocks' offers was helping a sixth grader clean up a lunch spill.
4) The cheerleaders were talking, obviously gossiping because they were whispering to each other.
That was all. Susie dreamily stared at Tyler. We was an eighth grader, while she was a measly seventh grader. He'd never like her at all. He is so sweet! she thought. He's helping a sixth grader clean up her lunch.
The bell rang loudly, and the students started to walk out of the cafeteria.
Susie sighed and picked up her bag. As she looked at Tyler run out of the lunchroom, Susie got up and started walking. She did not notice the spilled mashed potatatoes on the floor, so she slipped and landed flat on her face. The jocks stayed and laughed at Susie.
"Grr..." she growled.
She got up and walked towards the group of jocks, which consisted of the following people: Matt James, Leigh Howards, Wilson Graham, Gordon Salazar and Samuel Rod.
Susie rolled up her sleeves and ran to them and started continuously punching Samuel.
"Aww...Susie's first punches!" Sam chortled.
Susie looked up and punched him, right on the eye. Samuel gave a bloodcurling scream as he covered his eye.
Then Leigh kicked Susie hard on the leg, and she fell right on the spot.
"Susie, I am not surprised."
The brown desk with neatly stacked papers, the wall of succeeded students, the mini-palm tree in a pot on the corner - it was all too familiar. Susie had been to Mr. McKinley's office a bunch of times. She went there so much, in fact, it was sort of like a weekly routine.
"As for you, Leigh, I am not surprised as well. Samuel is in the nurse's office, getting his eye checked. Susie's leg is bruised," said Mr. McKinley seriously.
"But it's her fault that Sam's in the nurse's office!" Leigh cried, pointing at Susie. "It's all your fault, you little brat!"
"That is enough, Mr. Howard!" Mr. McKinley shouted. "I will not tolerate that kind of behavior in my office!"
"Yeah," mumbled Susie, "shut up, Tootsie Roll."
The frustrated principal ignored the comment and said, "I have only one option. I will have to suspend both of you for two months."
"No!" the two children cried.
Mr. McKinley nodded solemnly and escorted the two students out of the door.
"It's just not fair," Susie muttered as she got out of the car. "It's not my fault that the stupid jocks laughed at me."
Mrs. Coxwell frowned. "That's true, Susie, but it's your fault that you got suspended. You should've just said, 'please stop laughing at me'," she said softly.
"Mom, I'm not living in your kid years. People aren't like that anymore."
The disappointed mother frowned and unlocked the door.
"Okay, kiddo, you have to go to your room as a punishment, and no snacks. You can't play computer, or watvh TV, or play video games," Mrs. Coxwell said.
Susie rolled her eyes. "Can I still-"
"And you can't go downstairs, only if you need to go to the bathroom."
Susie gave a frustrated sigh and ran up the stairs.

I know. It's weird. But don't blame me, I'm too awesome to be weird :)
