“Back to your seats.” Mr. Sawyer said. All the guys groaned.

When Aria stood back up, Terry said “I-I’m so sorry. I never meant to…”

Aria seemed to forget about me and Terry was her new victim.

“Yeah, whatever. But you better watch out. I don’t want any excuses and I’m going to make your life a living…”

The classroom door then opened. Mrs. Lofthouse, a.k.a Aria’s mom walked into the room. “What’s going on here?” She said nervously.

“Mom, what are you doing here?”

“I came here to drop off the money for your cheerleading uniform. Now what is going on?” Mr. Sawyer could no longer intervene in the problem; it became a mother-daughter thing.

“She punched me on my nose, mom.” Aria pouted, looked at her red nose, and then pointed to Terry.

“Really?” Aria’s mom began to approach Terry. “What’s your name?”

“Terry.” I could swear Terry was shaking.

“Okay, Terry, listen well, because there is one thing I must say to you.” Mrs. Lofthouse said strictly. The class fell dead silent, waiting for her next move.

“CONGRATULATIONS!!! I NEVER got her to shut up as well as YOU did!” Aria gasped and her jaw dropped   She  stared blankly at her mom, making her evil blue eyes sparkle with impatience.

“But mom, she punched me!”

“Hey, whatever works!” She winked at Terry, gave Aria the money, and left. Aria, still stunned, marched right up to Terry’s desk.

“This means war.” Aria said.

“I think I already won.” Terry smirked. Aria glared at Terry, shaken with rage. Other kids started laughing and pointing.

“SHUT UP!” Aria yelled in her high-pitched voice. She ran out of the classroom, obviously humiliated. It served her right!
