At last! You pay
For the consequences of
The words you speak
At last! You cry
Because of all that you did
Because of all that you did
To me
At last! You see
What you put me through
When you did what you did to me
At last! You feel
What you made me feel
When you broke my heart
In two, And at last!
I am free

We are reading a book in English class that fits this description perfectly. The book is called Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. It was about a rape victim and I am sure the main character would love this poem.
