in KidPub Press Headquarters
There are all sorts of things to see in KidMud!
For example, when you connect to KidMud you are usually in the Wizard's Living Room. Have you ever really looked around? Use the look command.
look
Look at the room you are in
look something
Look at something specific. For example, to look at a table, look table. To look at a player (Toby, for example), look toby.
Here's a look around the Living Room:
look Living Room A comfy living room, although it could use a bit more furniture, and maybe a rug. On the wall over the couch is a faded photograph in a frame. Perhaps you'd like to sit a bit while you read the help files? On the wall near the couch is a chalkboard, and a colorful mat is on the floor in the corner of the room. You think you smell bread baking... Sunlight streams through the window. You see a couch, Sox, a chalkboard, Rosie, a chair, a man eating checkbook, a sofa, a Television, an oak desk, and a couch here. Obvious exits: The hall door, the slider, and the kitchen door. look photo It's an old photograph of a younger Wizard. He's sitting in a garden with a small dog. look dog The dog in the photo is wearing a small pendant. look pendant Squinting, you can just make out the word Toby. look mat The mat is made of some soft material. It's bunched up a bit along one edge, and you can see small bits of what appear to be a dog biscuit stuck to the fabric.
All of the text that you see when you use the look command was put there by using the @describe command.
