Chapter 9~The Voices
Voice 1: *sighs* You know, we really want to help you.
Me: Yeah?
Voice 2: Yeah, so you’ve got to listen to us.
Me: I shouldn’t argue with my own head! First sign of madness!
Voice 1: *cries*Yes, we know, but we’re different!
Me: Yeah, right.
Voice 1: Voices in your head won’t help you identify Chinese coins, won’t tell you the Chinese version of twelve o’clock! Like I said, we're different!
Me: I guess I’ve just read something about those stuff somewhere, and you reminded me. *shrugs*
Voice 2: You know you haven’t.
I bit my lip. That was true.
Voice 2: And your Mandarin improved, with our help!
Voice 1: You’ve got to listen to us, Skylar.
Me: Give me ten reasons why I should.
Voice 2: *ignores me* Go to Europe, the West! As soon as you can!
Me: *sceptical tone* What?!?!?
Voice 1: That’s the only way you can go back home!
Me: *scoffs* Balderdash.
Voice 2: *shrugs* Well, you’re bound to leave here sometime. If you just don’t listen to us, it’ll take longer for you to go back home.
Me: Blah blah blah I can’t hear you! (Like Myrtle did)
Voice 1: Someone, or something will soon be able to convince you.
Me: Oh, shut up, let me go to sleep!
The voices shut up but I didn’t go to sleep. It was midnight before I could get what they said out of my head.
