A/N: This is the book I said I was working on in December. Nothing is the same about this new idea I have. Be warned ... this will be creepy. Enjoy!
*Rebecca*
October 2, 1893
"Oh, I haven't an idea about what to do! With all of London in panic because of these mysterious deaths, nothing seems to be looking up for the annual gala." Rebecca said desperately as she got into her bed.
"Indeed, Miss Gress. These deaths have been quite frightening." Mrs. Collins replied, leaving the bedroom with Rebecca's dirty clothes as Rebecca stepped out from her bed wearing her lace covered dressing gown. She looked down at her late friend Ruth's picture. She seemed to be smiling up at Rebecca. Suddenly, Rebecca slammed it back down. It was too much, seeing her dearly departed friend. Ruth was one of the first victims, found in her bedroom one morning with a knife in her hand, and a bloody wound in her chest, as if she had stabbed herself. As her family was very important, the mourning had lasted for days, but Rebecca had just gotten over the suprising death. The officals concluded that Ruth had commited suicide, but Rebecca did not believe this. Ruth had been super happy in her last days, always laughing and socializing. So, why would she commit suicide? Then, a cloud seemed to dim her senses. She had a sudden desire to look at the stars. She walked over to her French doors and pulled them open. But, for her, this wasn't high enough. So, she climbed up to the roof. This satisfed her desire, but the cloud in her mind still remained. Then, she spotted something from down below. Was that Ruth waveing up at her? It couldn't be, it just couldn't. Rebecca edged closer to the edge of the roof for a closer look. That was her fatal mistake, because she lost her grip, and fell down, down, down.
The London Times, Monday October 3rd 1893
At dawn on this Monday, Rebecca Gress, 19 year old daughter of Henry Gress, passed into heaven. As the death toll of young ladies in London grows, the odds of the supernatural happenings become bigger. The police claim that this lively girl committed suicide like her late friend Ruth Weddingtion, also 19 years old. Some have started to disagree, thinking the cause for these mysterious deaths is because of black magic. One thing is for certain though: either black magic or suicidal thoughts, we need to stop them from happening. Ms. Gress’es funeral will take place next morning in St. James Church. We will all mourn the parting of this wonderful woman.
