Chapter 1:

A/N: PLEASE excuse all grammatical errors, I was in a hurry at the end and didn't have time to look it over!!

I stood in the clearing of the forest staring at the water as the rising sun reflected off the water, creating a beautiful natural shimmer, it nearly made me have to catch my breath.

The trees in the clearing formed a perfect circular shape. They stood tight together and trunks were bent over as if to gratify the water somehow.

I smiled to myself. This is what I live for. I sat down on the cold ground, wet with dew, and thought.

About what? Everything.

My life was an endless pit of planned decisions, chosen hopes, dreams, everything, has been made for me.

I picked up a nearby stone and tossed in into the water, which responded with a ripple.

A gorgeous head popped out of the water. She had long glossy blonde hair, and large green eyes. The girl pulled her self up on a large rock that sat in the water. She had her stomach on the rock, and her legs remaining in the water.

"Next time, think about where you throw a rock!" The river nymph growled, rubbing her head giving me a sour expression.

I rolled my eyes and told the nymph tersely, "Sorry."

The river nymph nodded with grin. "Do you feel like a swim?" she asked me.

I laughed. The nymph just stared at me dubiously.

"You mean, would I like to die today?" I replied with a smile.

It has been known that nymphs are nitorious for drowing people for their own enertainment. Now, the the girl rolled her eyes at me and dove back into the water.

I leaned over the river, my long black curls falling in my face. I stared into the water a little while longer, then I stood up and walked through the dense trees. The forest was peaceful in the morning. Bearly a cock crowned, nor a flower whispered.

A fairy flittered by me. I looked up, just in time for the tiny, little creature to stick her tongue out at me. I smiled dreaming about what it would be like for a fairy.

Walking farther and farther into the forest it started to darken, though it was early in the morning. I wasn't scared, I could navigate through these woods blindfolded - though I would never recommend it...

The forest was dense with trees, bushes, grass, and various wildflowers.

I spotted a narrow path that was garded with willow trees. They were so perfectly alligned, and made a straight path.

As I entered the mysterious path and walked for a little while later, to my suprise, I had stumbled upon the abandoned camp of the Unerm's - or the nonmagical creatures. The humans that were granted no diversity.

The ground was littered with twigs, and branches, and to my surprise armor, leather sachels, helmets, and torn bannars.

"Camelot." I whispered, shaking slightly.

"Camelot!" I cried quickly grabbing a bannar that bore the Pendragon's crest on it.

After all those years.

Who would of ever guessed that I would be chosen.

As fast as my legs would carry me, I ran back to our village which harbored many magical beings so that Camelot's ruler, Uther Pendragon, would not dispose of them, like he has been doing more frequently to my kind.

When I finally reached the clearing that are village was located, I saw a crowd embracing a person.

"Arli!" I heard a familiar voice cry out inside the mob of people.

The crowd slowly broke away, revealing the person who had called out my name.

It was only after he had escaped the crowd completely, I realized who he was.

My brother, Merlin.

"Merlin!" I cried, running towards his wide smile.

He looked the same as did before he left, same toothy grin, same chisled nose, and of course, the same tousled black hair I loved. He was still as skinny as he was before he lad left, and he seemed a bit older than before.

"Why are back?" I asked, just releasing from our embrace.

"Because I did your help." He replied.

"How so?" I answered with a smirk.

"I've got to talk to you alone. C'mon, Li." Merlin said hastily, pulling my arms towards a vacant tent.

"Arthur and Uther not treating you well." I joked.

Merlin had recieved his prophesy the year before and it stated that he would find her destiny in Camelot. He left for the famous kingdom, and soon enough Prince Arthur Pendragon appointed him his manservant. But secretly Merlin has used his magic to help Arthur from all the dangers that may befall him. Many prophecys have declared that shall be the most important rulers of all times, and therefore, many have ventured to hurt, or even kill him.

"This is about Arthur actually." He replied sitting on the ground and running a hand through his hair.

"Yes, well, go on." I urged, also sitting down.

"A woman, Guinevere, has been sent from Upper Rennia to marry Arthur. However, Lancelot, Arthur's most trusted knight has fallen in love with Guinevere, and have been secretly having an affair with Lancelot." Merlin finished.

"Why do you need me?" I asked, thinking over the problem thoroughly.

"You're beautiful, Arli. Your beauty matches Guinevere's." He replied.

I blushed a deep cherry red, but kept silent, which was Merlin's sign to go on.

"I need you to come to Camelot and tempt Arthur."
