A/N - This is a repost of something I posted a while ago. This poem goes along with a book (book three) in a trilogy that I am writing. I have yet to post it, but I do hope you like the poem, I worked really hard on it! Enjoy and please comment on what you think. Or e-mail me at Kayler.h@live.com Thanks!

At The Minute of Dawn...

In the due east, lies a girl in the cold
shivering and shaking, tending to hot coal.

She looks up in the sky and looks to the moon,
Where she sees that the end is soon.

She wraps into a ball closing her eyes,
Trying to forget about all of the lies.

She had come so far just to turn back,
She was so close, at last at last.

She looks to the west where her doom would lie,
If only she could sneak in without being seen by a watchful eye.

She looks on her lap,
Where a paper lies.

She looks to the parchment and tried to accept,
That all hope is lost and she must run away before the end would come,
Before the end of a new day.

If only a chance to save the world,
If only a hope to lie within her young soul.

She stands and drops the paper heading to the west,
To do what had to be done, to save herself from the past.

She runs to wage war,
She runs to save the world.

She knocks down the evil in a mad sort of way,
Why create such usless poeple anyways?

She knows not of her wrong,
But only her anger,
Which grows stronger and lingers.

She pins down a boy, in a knights suit which is obviously too big,
He pants and crys for her not to kill.

She raises her sword,
unable to control her mind,
and finds that she has a sword against her side.

She gasps for breath and she steps away,
to find a man, dressed in grey.

She does what the man says,
Dropping her sword and sits in a room,
Which is dark and damp,
With mice, more mice, and even a large rat.

She struggles to get away as she is tortured in many ways,
But she finds the man, who's face is not seen also looks away.

She see's him shaking and wonders who he is,
As she screams feeling her chest.

In one huff of breath a demon comes out,
A evil spirit sent to destroy the people who are kind.

The girl gasps, moving her hands and the boy kneels at the chair.
The girl see's his face, unable to believe, her friend, her love, was alive indeed.

He had helped her escape from the evil's grasp,
he had helped her make away from the past.
At just the minute of dawn...

He kisses her sweetly,
the kiss she misses the most and he picks her up,
carrying her home.
