Cora.

I couldn’t push thoughts of her away. She saved Oliver’s life, for Christ’s sake! I wanted to call her, but how could I figure out her number? I didn’t know where she lived, what school she went to—I didn’t even know her last name!

I called the few people I kept in touch with who went to day care with me. No one knew who I was talking about.

As I always do when I need to clear thoughts from my head, I went to my room and curled up under the blankets on my bed. Lady followed me and slid in close to me.

“I have to find some way to thank her,” I whispered to Lady.

She stared at me with those big eyes of hers. I love it when she does that. I just know she understands me.

“If she hadn’t come to the rescue, I don’t know what would’ve happened to Oliver.”

Lady started pawing at my hand, which usually means she wants me to pet her, but I just pretended she was sympathizing for me.

“Tell me what I should do.”

Her eyes got heavy and she drifted off. I finally gave up and fell asleep, too.

The only thing that i found

The only thing that i found to correct was you switched to present tense. Other than that, I found this chapter amazing! Keep it up! I love your description!

"Life is constantly throwing obstacles in your way, and if you wish to continue, you must avoid them." ~ King Stonlear, The Revolution of Osh: Book 1 ~ Faundron. Hey, that book is real! http://www.kidpub.com/book-page-or-chapter/revolution-oshbook-1faund

Lady just gets cuter and

Lady just gets cuter and cuter. :P Neat chapter! I'm still confused about Cora though... What did she do to save Oliver's life?

"On your knees, you look up / Decide you've had enough / You get mad, you get strong / Wipe your hands, shake it off / Then you stand." ~Stand {Rascal Flatts}
