They couldn’t fix his black eye, but they wrapped up his leg and head in bandages after they cleaned up the bullet hole. Lady sniffed at his leg weirdly when he got home from the hospital, but she bounced up and down when she saw him anyway.
The eighth-graders were expelled for carrying a weapon on school grounds and using it against a student. Did they really think they were gonna get those girls anyway?
At school, Oliver got a lot of sympathy when the word got out. No medals, but pats on the back and some high fives wherever he went.

"Life is constantly throwing obstacles in your way, and if you wish to continue, you must avoid them." ~ King Stonlear, The Revolution of Osh: Book 1 ~ Faundron. Hey, that book is real! http://www.kidpub.com/book-page-or-chapter/revolution-oshbook-1faund
Okay, I'm a little confused... What did Kelsei do to get a medal other than finding Oliver in the first place? That doesn't really award someone a medal... If she had done something to help save him, then, sure, by all means. But I don't recall her doing anything else... And I don't recall Cora doing anything, either. I think you left something out between chapters 6 and 7. O_o
Other than that, cool chapter. Looking forward to more!

Thank you so much for the help! I obviously needed someone to smack it into me. It's nice to get an honest answer!
