Have you ever seen Aphrodite, goddess of love? I don't know if you believe she exists, but if she did, I swear she was doing her "things" to me and the girl.
I met the girl again one week later, at another party. I spotted her talking with a bunch of what you could call a "girly" girl. They all looked rather giggly, and I could see them mouthing at least one boy's name in each sentance. My best friend, Jacob, walked over, and smiled. "You made it." he said. I smiled back. "Jacob, do you have any idea what is going on here?" I asked. He glanced at the girls. "What do you mean?" he asked. "Stalking them?" I practically knocked him over, and he was still smiling when he got up. "Wow, Jason, seriously?" he asked. I had a sudden urge to throw all the glasses within 10 feet of me at him. He smiled. "Well, what is that supposed to mean?" I asked, holding back my fury, although my face was already red. "Yeah, herm..." Jacob replied. He walked off, and I gurantee you if my eyes were daggers, I would have been sent to jail.
I saw the girl again about an hour later, during the dance. When she saw me looking at her, I looked away quickly, pretending to be drinking some punch. Apparently, she didn't fall for it. She walked over, and sat down next to me. "What are you looking at?" she asked. Please, if she had an IQ, it'd be -30. I glanced at her. She shrugged innocently, as if she really didn't know. Yeah, then her IQ would be -50. I stared at her more fiercely. "Do you always play dumb in front of a boy?" I asked sarcastically. She blushed, then looked at one of the people working for the drinks, and ordered sweetened iced tea. She looked back at me, and responded, "I'm innocent." Apparently, with my glare at her, she didn't believe I trusted her. "What? Did I shoot Obama?" she asked. I shrugged. Her iced tea was put on the counter, and she put her lips to the straw. I studied her face. She had glittering blue eyes, dark brown hair that reached her shoulders, and a type of faithful smile (who doesn't smile when they drink [if you pay close attention]). She looked at me again. "What?" she asked. Her tone could have easily fit, Yup, you're a boy, and I'm a goat who flies. it had the type of sarcasm I liked. I couldn't help smiling. Now she was looking at me, as if my smile contained an evil eyeball. "Yeah, tee hee." she answered. I looked at her. When did this conversation even start in the first place? I shrugged at that question. "I'll see you at the dinner." I responded, and, leaving my glass of coke behind, I vanished behind the crowd.
Take my advice: Never vanish from a hot girl during the middle of a party; at least ask them for a dance (unless you're one of those stupid idiots who nobody likes). I realized that mistake as I saw the girl dancing with some other boy, and she had some sweet moves (just to point out, I DON"T have a crush on her...). Look, the thing that distracted me was whenever I walked past, I could feel her ocean colored eyes looking at me. What the heck? I met up with some other guys, and we had some rounds of basketball (in tuxedoes, go figure). We played a couple games before finally the host ordered all people had to dance with somebody. Groaning, I walked back to the drink stand. I ordered another coke. "Hey." a voice whispered. I turned, and the girl was there again. She smiled. Woops. I think I knew what to do. Taking in a deep breath, I whispered, "Care to dance?" Please don't laugh at me, or else I swear I'll find your home address, knock you out, and then, report you as this person guilty of the latest case. That had ever happened lately. I held her hand, which was smooth and a little cold, compared to mine, and we entered the dance floor. Half against my own will, we began to dance, as in dance.
And I swear that was when it hit me, that very second. Look at this, and you'll see what was happening: <3
I'm not saying it, figure it out.
