a sibling in new york? ch 3: the library

in my study, trying to think of more books

As Jessica jumped off from the traincar, she took a quick glance around, to make sure no one had seen her. No one was in sight. Then she grabbed her brother and took off running before someone did see her.

As soon as she was out of sight from the train station jessica slowed down to a brisk pace, this way she would be inconspicous. After a while, and a few wrong turns, Jessica found the library. ( i would describe it to you, but i don't know what it looks like.)

She went inside and started making her way to the imposing front desk. She went up to a nice looking elderly lady who was busy checking in books and asked her the way to the computers.

"They are that way, hon," the elderly lady said with a country accent, pointing to the left of her. Jessica politely thanked her and went to the first computer she saw with no one sitting near it.

Jessica then began the long gruesom task of trying to find any clue about her brother.

An hour later Jessica gave up. She got up from her computer and turned toward the door. As she did this, Jessica noticed that a guy was staring at her oddly, a blush creeped onto her cheeks when he suddenly turned away.

Jessica then made her way back to the door as quickly as possible. As she reached toward the door, a hand reached over her shoulder and grabbed her wrist. She whipped herself around and came face to face with the boy who had been looking at her.

The next eight words he said would change her life forever.

"Why were you typing in my bestfriend's name?"
