(sonic the hedgehog story) Black and Red (prologue)

Prologue

 Where am I? Is this a dream of some sort? But I fell so awake, I-just don't get it...

 Shadow the Hedgehog slept in silence, unkowing of his surrondings. He began to wake up, but only to let out a cry of fear. Underneath him was not solid ground, but only space. He began to feel warmth on his fur, he looked to see what it was coming from. It was a planet-a planet that seemed familiar. He then noticed that he was moving at a fast speed towards it. I've been caught in it's gravitational pull. He thought. Shadow felt even more heat. " I'm not going to make it, the heat and the crash will be too much-only a miracle will save me.", said Shadow. As he got closer he closed his eyes and braced himself.

 Shadow was vary close to the planet now. Underneath him was a large ocean, he hit the water with a splash and sunk into it's dephs. Shadow tried to swim, but his limbs would not respond. Although Shadow was knocked-out he still new one thing: he did not have much time. Shadow finally woke up, he was still unable to swim. He noticed that he was headed toward a larged, sharp edged rock. He tried to dodge but it was no use. Shadow focused all of his energy, he jerked himself to the right. To his relief his head didn't hit the rock. Instead the edge stabbed his back, he yowled in pain as the edge scapped across his back, ripping his flesh.

 All Shadow saw was red, he turned his head and looked over his shoulder. A long gash went from his shoulder down to his tail. Shadow began to panic, he bagan to look for something that might help(even though that was a low probability.) 

 Shadow could no longer hold his breath. One more try, if I jerked away from that rock, I might be able to swim, Shadow thought. Shadow focused his energy, he began to choke but he endured it. He started to swim, he moved as fast as he could(which was pretty fast.) He reached the serface and sighed in relief. He looked around the body of water. He noticed a beach and swam to it. Once he reached the beach, he collapsed in exhaustion.
