"Awww so sad and touching!  Good writing :)" by Emily~~The romance writer

"Awwww! This is so sad :[ In a good way of course! Hurrah, chapter 12!" by Ashley

Our family isn’t REALLY religious, but we pray and read the bible and follow mostly what it says. But how could God do this to our family? How could God cause the accident? My mother said this morning which is September 22nd, Saturday 2010, that what happened to my father wasn’t God’s fault it was just an accident. At first it was hard to accept that it was just an accident and no one caused it, but I soon began to believe.

“Aria,” David said to me, “At least he’s alive and doing well,”

There I was, still sobbing on the couch where Marcus placed me. I looked as pathetic as Elmo dressed as a clown.

“David,” I said, jaw clenched, “Don’t talk to me.”

He gulped; he could tell I wasn’t in the mood. Kasey was surprising taking the whole situation well. I mean, yeah she was upset but she was accepting the fact that it is what it is. My mother told me that they were releasing my Dad that afternoon. I was happy about that, though I wasn’t happy about the fact that Dad wouldn’t remember any of us. Every now or then my siblings would ask me the same question,

“Will he ever remember us?”

I simply shrugged at the question, how would I know? The only person that is able to heal my Father is God; I just hope it’s soon. I was actually surprised that they were releasing my Father so soon. Time went by very slowly; there was nothing to eat in our cupboard which REALLY made me mad. I remembered, mom didn’t go food shopping. It was quarter of four when I heard a knock at the door; it was my Mom and Dad. I rushed to the door and opened it abruptly.

“Dad,” I said running and hugging him, “It’s me, Aria.”

He just looked at me, and motioned me to stay back. My eyes formed tears. He didn’t remember me.

“Do you remember me?” I asked.

Again, he just stared into my teary eyes. He looked…well like my Dad. Tall, handsome, and built like a wrestler. The only things different about him was that he looked extremely tired and he had a bandage going all the way around his head, it looked like a turban.

“I’m…sorry,” he said.

“Don’t be sorry,” David said, “Dad it’s alright,”

David went to hug him but again he backed away.

“Children,” My mother said, “Give your father some space,”

We walked into the house, and my mother motioned Dad to sit on the couch.

“How are you feeling?” My mother asked.

“Uh…very well thank you,” my father answered in a polite attitude.

“He doesn’t remember us, does he?” I asked my Mom.

She slowly shook her head and put her pointed finger by her lips to say be quiet. I decided to start from the beginning.

“Hi,” I said sticking my hand out, “My name is Arianna or Aria as some people call me. I like to do a lot of sports and I personally think I have a strong personality,”

“You sound like a nice person,” He said, “I would kill for a daughter like you,”

I forced a laugh, it he only knew…

"This goooooood, it just gets better and better, can't wait for some real romance :)  Keep writing!" by Emily~~The romance writer

I wanted to stay home with my Mom and Dad but my Mom forced me to go to school that Monday, what kind of mother does that? I would rather watch Dad learn everything over again than learn to do stupid math or something. I walked through the double doors, everyone stared at me. A girl with pony tails who I have never seen before in my entire life walked up to me.

“I’m sorry about you Father.” The girl said, “I can’t imagine how you feel.”

I nodded, and pushed her out of the way. Jacob was at his locker  he quickly glanced at me and walked off to Math. I rummaged through my locker trying to find my Math books when Marcus scared me to death.

“Hey,” He said, “How’s your Dad?”

“He’s home but he doesn’t remember anything,”

He was about to say something but that’s when I found my Math books and hurried off to Math class. Miss. Chu was behind her desk rummaging for some papers, she stood up and banged her head under the table, the whole class erupted in laughter.

“Oh, don’t be so rude,” I said running over to Miss. Chu, “Are you alright?”

She stood up fixing her blouse.

“Thank you,” She said, “you’re very kind,”

Miss. Chu was a young Asian woman, her age probably around her late twenties, and she constantly get’s picked on at school, poor Miss. Chu.

“Take your seat,” She said to me.

With that I walked to my desk, everyone’s eyes were laid on me.

“Today we will be learning a little algebra,”

Just my day, I thought.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Aria,” Peyton said, “I feel for you, I really do!”
“Then help me reboot my Dad’s memory,” I whined.
“I can’t,”
“I know,” I said, feeling guilty, “I’m sorry,”
She leaned over for a hug but I pushed her away.
“I’m fine, really…”
With that I left the lunch room and ran to the library. The librarian was talking to the nurse, apparently one of the student’s past out an hour earlier.
“Aria,” Mrs. Jenson said, “How’s my favorite girl?”
I forced a smile.
“You know you aren’t supposed…”
She interrupted me.
“Supposed to pick favorites, I know,”
I actually smiled.
Mrs. Jenson was the school librarian and a great one too. She has a boy around my age, but when she got pregnant with him she really prayed for a daughter, so I’m kind of her daughter, at least that’s what she said…
“How’s Luke doing?” I asked, making conversation.
“Complaining as always,”
“So who was this student that past out?” I asked.
“It was a 7th grader named, Phillip Dore.”
“Ah, I’m afraid I don’t know him,”
“Not surprised.” She said.
I ran my finger’s along a leather bond book when Mrs. Jenson spoke.
“I heard about your Father,” she said, “I’m really sorry,”
I nodded.
“That’s why I actually came here,” I said, “Do you have a book about something that could possibly reboot my Dad’s memory?”
“I really don’t know,” She said, “Let me check,”
She typed a little on the computer and left her seat and she walked over to a section of the library.
“Luke Bellmore wrote this book,” She said, “It doesn’t tell you how to cure your Father but it does teach you to cope with family tragedies, I think you should read it.”
I took the book and opened it to the middle. I could tell he was amazing when it came to writing by just reading a few short paragraphs.
“I would like to read this,”
“Okay,” She said, scanning the bar code of the book and then scanning my student I.D.
“Tell me if it’s good or not,” Mrs. Jenson said, “I would really love it if you did,”
I nodded and said thank you and hurried off to Spanish. Mrs. Martinez wasn’t in the room when I arrived, so I just took my seat. Suddenly the phone made a buzzing noise for thus it was on vibrate. It was a text from Kasey, it read;
To: Aria
September 24th, Monday 1:27PM
Major crisis, help
I gulped and ran out the door while I was running I text back.
To: Kasey
September 24th, Monday, 1:28PM
Ware r u? Help on way
A moment later, my phone buzzed.
To: Aria
September 24th, Monday, 1:30PM
Girls’ bathroom, 2nd floor
I bolted up the stairs as fast as I could. I ran into the bathroom to find Kasey sitting on the counter washing off what looked like blood from her leg.
“What…happened?”
“I fell,”
I rummaged through my pocket, don’t ask me why but I had a bandage in my pocket.
“Don’t ask,” I said to Kasey who was looking at me weirdly.
I washed off her leg with soap and water until it had stopped bleeding, there was a big cut about 4 inches long on her left leg.
“What happened?”
“I was running…well, more like being chased by Ezra,”
“Did you make him mad again?” I asked.
She shook her head.
“I didn’t do anything,”
That was very hard to believe.
“I was running and one of his evil minions stuck out his foot…”
“Okay,” I said, “Enough explained, we got to get to class,”
With that I grabbed my books and left. My phone buzzed yet again.
To: Aria
September 24th, Monday 1:40PM
Thanks, *Blow’s a whole bunch of kisses,”
I smiled and ran faster to class. Mrs. Martinez and the whole class was sitting down.
“Aria,” She said, “I’ve been so worried, and where have you been? A student said you were in here before I even showed up,”
“I’m sorry,” I said, “Kasey had a little accident,”
I glared at Ezra; Mrs. Martinez saw me and said,
“Sit down,”
I sat down and yet again I learned something.
Here is the thirttenth chapter! first some great comments...
"
Uh oh, Aria, I wouldn't go if I were you!
LOVE IT. I repeat: LLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!" by Mollie
"GO GO GO GO GO!!!! She should go!!! I think that he's starting to realize how much he cares and is sad to see her hurt. I so think she should go!!!!" by Grace
“I’m home,” I said walking through my front door.
My Dad and Mom were at the kitchen table eating across from each other my Mom was reading a newspaper while my Dad was scanning the room looking very uncomfortable.
“Uh…Jon do you want anything?” I asked.
He looked at me as if a booger was hanging from my nose.
“Thanks,” He said, “But no thanks,”
He turned to look behind him, as if he thought someone was watching him, I looked behind him, Matthew was hiding behind the wall looking at him.
“Matt,” I said, “Stop watching Dad,”
I turned to look at my Father.
“It’s just Matt,” I said.
He nodded. Today, Mrs. Martinez announced that she changed the deadline for the assignment, its due tomorrow instead. She said that someone in the class was sick and didn’t have time to work on it on the weekend so she changed it to tomorrow.
“Well, I’m going to do my homework,”
“Have fun,”
The only thing about my Dad that didn’t change was that he still had a sense of humor. I slowly walked upstairs and walked across the hall to Kasey’s room. I slightly knocked on door.
“Come in,” Kasey said softly.
I turned the knob and walked inside: the room was spotless.
“Whoa,” I said, “What happened?”
“I decided to clean,” Kasey said.
I felt her fore-head.
“Are you feeling okay?”
She laughed.
“I’m feeling fine other than the fact that Dad doesn’t remember us, but I’m fine.”
I forced a smile.
“At least he’s…”
She interrupted me.
“At least he’s alive, I know.”
The room was spotless, the trash that was on her floor the other day was now in a trash bag by the door waiting to be taken outside. All the clothes that were hanging out her drawers were neatly folded where they are supposed to be and her bed was made.
“Well, I better go do my schoolwork.”
Kasey nodded.
“While you’re at it can you take the trash bag outside?”
I nodded and grabbed the bag. I hurried downstairs and out the door. The sun was hidden by some clouds and it looked as if it were going to rain. I ran to the side of the house and flipped open the trash can and popped the bag in there. Jacob was sitting on the front steps of his house I saw him glance my way and quickly glanced away. He started texting. I sighed. Why was he acting like such a jerk? As I was walking up my front steps my cell phone buzzed. It was from Jacob.
To: Aria
September 24th, Monday, 4:01PM
Meet me at Bill’s tonight at 11:30PM
I glanced his way and Jacob was slowly going inside. Why did he want to be at Bill’s? Who would want to meet at Bill’s? Bill Madison was an elderly man he was so mean to children, he absolutely hated them. I admit, I am afraid of him. A question was roaming inside my head: Should I go or not?
Chapter Fourteen! and before the chappy some great comments!
"You should be proud!  It's really well-written and that's so sweet of Jacob to help out with Billy, so cute!  Ugh, I don't know who I want Aria to be with...." by Emily~~The romance writer
There I was sitting at the dining room table watching the clock tick. Should I go see Jacob and pay for the consequences of getting punished? Or should I stay safe and sound wondering what Jacob needed to tell me? It was quarter to twelve the whole house was sound asleep. I heard dog’s barking in the distance. How could the owner leave the poor dogs outside to freeze? A cold front came through and it was kind of chilly outside. The big hand landed on 11:50.
“Ah,” I said, “What the heck!”
 I grabbed my coat and opened the door a gust of wind blew my hood down. I slowly closed the door behind me and hurried off into the night. I passed all my neighbor’s houses and walked to Bill’s. Bill Madison’s house was about ten minutes walking from my house. How long would it take before the police are searching the whole town for me? What exactly did Jacob want? I walked up the driveway of Bill’s house, I glanced at me watch it read; 12:02AM I hoped that Jacob was still here. Knowing Jacob he would say an hour before he would finally give in and go home. The attic light was on in Bill’s house, I gulped. Was he watching? I made my way behind Bill’s house to find no living thing there. As I was about to turn back a hand covered my mouth.
“Don’t panic, it’s me Jacob,”
I sighed. I managed to push his hand away from me and totally get out of his reach.
“What do you want?” I asked slowly backing away.
“Aria,” Jacob said, “Seriously? I’m nothing to be afraid of,”
I wasn’t so sure.
“Just tell me what you want.” I said.
“I want you to believe me,” He said, “Bill Madison isn’t as bad as you think,”
“You’re losing it,” I said, “Bill Madison is a horrible man,”
“Those are rumors.” Jacob said, “They’re not true,”
“Prove it,”
He grabbed my hand and led me to the front of the house and slowly opened the door.
“We’re in so much trouble,” I said, “We’re trespassing,”
Jacob shook his head and led me inside. To my right was a nice sitting room with a shelf piled with books. To my left was a small kitchen with a table that had two seats on either end. He led me up some stairs we turned left and headed up another set of stairs. The attic light turned off but Jacob still walked up stairs.
“Billy?” He shouted, “Its Jacob I brought a friend.”
No answer.
“Jacob,” I said, “Let’s go home,”
But he didn’t listen we kept climbing the stairs until we reached the top.
“Billy?” Jacob shouted again.
This time there was a answer…well if you can call it that. Bill Madison emerged from a corner of the attic he was dressed in overalls and a plaid t-shirt.
“Billy,” Jacob said, “This is Aria,”
Billy just nodded.
“Are you going to say hi?”
Billy shook his head. He wasn’t as old as I expected, he really wasn’t old at all he looked to be in his late twenties.
“Billy is not anything like what the kids at school described,” Jacob said.
No…really?
Jacob walked over to Billy and hugged him, a smile spread across Billy’s face.
“Want…tea?” Billy asked.
I glanced at Jacob he nodded.
“Um…yes please,”
Billy nodded happily and he made his way downstairs. Jacob waited till he was out of site before he spoke.
“Billy is autistic,” Jacob said, “He really is a nice guy, he’s twenty-seven years old and his parent’s abandoned him when he was younger. The Bill Madison that you’re thinking of is Billy’s grandfather he recently died. The reason why his grandfather hated children because they would come  to his house and tease Billy, I came here one night for a bet and I met Bill and we soon became friends, that’s the reason I have been ignoring all your text’s and calls I was busy taking care of Billy.”
“Oh,” I said, “That’s really nice of you.”
“Yeah,” Jacob said, “and…Cindy is my girlfriend because she understands Billy’s situation she was really good with him, she was the person I made the bet with, she came to find me and she became friends with both Bill and Billy too.”
“Are you two…you know happy?” I asked.
He nodded. I heard Billy on the steps so Jacob immediately changed the subject.
“Here you go,” Billy said handing Jacob and I tea.
“Thanks buddy,” Jacob said.
“Thanks!” I said too.
“Taste it,” Billy said.
I smiled and took a sip. It was the worst tea I had ever tasted.
“He’s learning,” Jacob said, he obviously noticed my face.
“What’s in here?” I asked Billy trying to sound as if it was very delicious.
“Peanut butter,”
I felt like I wanted to puke.
“Peanut butter,” I said, “Never thought to put that in my tea,”
“Like it?” He asked.
“Yes! It’s delicious,” I lied.
I took another sip.
“So what do you like to do?” I asked Billy, trying to make conversation.
“I like to play footbowl,” He said.
“Football,” Jacob corrected.
“Yeah that,”
“What else do you like to do?”
“I like sleeping during the day and playing during the night,”
“Oh…that’s interesting.”
“Yeah it is,”
I smiled. We talked for a little longer I found that Billy wasn’t bad at all in fact he was very nice, funny and he was a cool kid. I looked at my watch, it read; 12:55AM
“Whoa,” I said, “I have to go home.”
As if on cue Jacob and I both stood up at the same time.
“Leaving?” Billy asked.
“Yeah,” Jacob said, “I’ll be back tomorrow night, promise,”
“You promise?”
“I promise.”
“Good-bye Aria!” Billy said.
“Bye Billy,” I said, “Nice meeting you,”
“Ditto,”
I laughed and gave him an awkward hug. Didn’t know Jacob was such a softy. Jacob and I said one more good-bye and headed downstairs.
“I’m sorry for everything,” Jacob said.
“Uh-huh…”
“I really am sorry,”
“I believe you," I said
But Jacob didn’t look so sure.
“What’s with you and Marcus…?”
“We’re study partners and maybe friends.”
“Are you really just friends?” Jacob asked.
“Yes!”
He looked kind of relieved.
“I have to get home.”
“Want to walk with me?” Jacob asked.
I nodded.
It was a little after one when we arrived back at out street. Jacob said good-bye and went back to his house while I went back to mine. I slipped inside and silently hurried to my bedroom.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN!! some great comments first
"
I LOVE THIS!!
It's soooo full of awesomeness!!" by Mollie
“Aria,” Kasey said shaking me, “It’s time to wake up; you’ll be late for school.”
I sat up abruptly.
“What?” I said, “What time is it?”
“Almost seven-thirty,”
I jumped out of bed and ran to my closet grabbing whatever I saw first out of the closet.
“You’re wearing that to school?” Kasey asked.
I looked at the clothes; they were short shorts and a pajama shirt. I sighed, and walked back to my closet and picked out a nice dress that I gotten at Aerie.
“Now that’s better,” Kasey said.
“Get out,” I growled.
She laughed and left the room closing the door behind her. I stayed up till three because I was thinking about Billy and Jacob. I couldn’t think about that now, I thought. I quickly got changed and ran out my bed room and headed to the Kitchen.
“Good morning,” My mother said. She didn’t sound very happy.
I give her a peck on her cheek.
“You okay?” I asked.
She put down the newspaper she was reading and sighed.
“God didn’t reboot your Father’s memory yet.”
I sighed, how’d I know?
“He will, don’t worry.” I said optimistically.
I glanced at the clock, it was quarter to eight.
“I’m going to miss the bus,” I said kissing my Mother again, “I have to go,”
“Are you going to eat?” My Mother asked.
“No,” I shouted heading out the door. I saw Jacob sitting on his front steps, he’s late too? He waved and smiled while he crossed the street.
“Hey!” he said, “It’s about time,”
“You’ve been waiting for me?”
He nodded.
“So what did you think about Billy?”
“He’s…nice!”
“That’s for sure,” Jacob said.
I smiled. We walked to the bus stop without saying a word once we climbed onto the bus he spoke.
“What am I thinking right now?” Jacob asked.
I smiled taking my seat. We used to do this all the time when we were younger.
“Billy…?”
“Wrong,” He said, “I’m thinking about what my grade is going to be for my Spanish assignment.”
“Shoot,” I said a little too loudly, “I forgot my Spanish assignment.”
“No worries,” Jacob said waving my assignment in front of my face.
“Where did you find that?” I asked.
“Your Mother saw me sitting outside; she knew you probably would forget it so she gave it to me,”
“I love her so much!” I said.
“She definitely save’s your butt a lot, doesn’t she?” He said waving the paper’s in my face yet again.
“Yeah,” I said laughing, as he handed me the assignment, “She sure does…”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It took forever by the time it was Spanish class.

“Buenos diaz,” Mrs. Martinez said as Jacob and I walked through the door.

Jacob was beside me wherever I went the whole time; it was nice to finally get along again. Cindy didn’t even question.

“Glad you two are friends again,” Cindy said kissing Jacob flat on the lips, Jacob blushed and pulled away.

“Yeah,” I said, “I’m glad too,”

I told Jacob we will talk after class and that’s when I joined Peyton at her desk; I sat down the desk next to her. Marcus was towards the middle of the room sitting at his desk staring in my direction.

“How are you?” Peyton asked hugging me.

“Anxious,” I said, “I can’t wait till the assignment is over.”

“Yeah,” Peyton said, “Me too!”

“How’s your Dad?” Peyton asked again.

“Um…He still doesn’t remember anything.”

Why did she have to bring it up? I was having such a great day…

“Sit down,” Mrs. Martinez said.

We all sat down.

“Today we aren’t going to learn anything,”

There was screaming in the back row, probably Ezra and his little minions.

“Settle down,” Mrs. Martinez said, “You’re just going to give me your assignments and I’ll read them out loud.”

She came down every aisle and each and every one of us handed a paper. She shuffled the papers and took the one off the top.

“Here is Ezra’s assignment about…Peyton,” Mrs. Martinez said.

Mrs. Martinez took the whole entire period reading everyone’s assignment. She told the grades.

Here are the grade results:

Ezra writing Peyton’s answers: F

Peyton writing Ezra’s answers: B

Me writing Marcus’s answers: B

Marcus writing mine: A +

Jacob writing Mya’s answers: A-

Mya writing Jacob’s answers: B

And so on…

I was surprised at my grade I thought I was at least going to get an A. The rest of the day was…okay. Jacob and Cindy were hanging out, Jacob and I hanged out a little but he mostly hanged out with Cindy, so Peyton and I mostly hung out. We were at Gym when Peyton showed me Ezra’s answers.

“Those are good answers,” Peyton said.

“Yeah,” I said, “They are…”

Jacob walked over to me.

“Mya gave me her original copy; can I come over your house tonight and show both mine and hers?”

“Sure,” I said.

“Cool,” he said, “See you tonight,”

“When did you start being friends with him again?” Peyton asked when Jacob was out of ear shot.

“Yesterday,” I said.

I wanted to tell Peyton  so bad about Billy, Bill and everything, but something was telling me to leave it be so that’s just what I did.
