"Awsome. I think Jacob's jelous. It's really good so far." From Grace
I tried so hard to open my eyes, I forced my eyes, and still they remained closed. I fell back asleep, I woke up again this time when I tried it they opened, I looked around the room it was bright. I glanced at the clock, 7:01AM. I slowly got out of bed, I had some time to get ready and eat breakfast, why didn’t anyone wake me up? I went over to my closet, opened it and looked at the mirror, I was a mess. I decided to take a quick shower, when I was done a got dressed in American Eagle Jeans and a shirt from Hollister that I got in the beginning of the school year. I pulled my hair up in a pony tail, and made my way down stairs. I peeked in my parent’s room and my Mom was getting Xavier dressed.
“Hi Mom,” I said.
“Good morning sweetie,” She said, “How’d you sleep?”
“I didn’t,” I said.
“You didn’t sleep?” She asked.
“Let’s just say I didn’t fall asleep till around 3:30!”
“Why…?” My Mom asked.
“I was reading!”
My Mom gasped dramatically; of course she was being sarcastic.
“You actually read a book?” She said.
“A very good one too,”
“I have to go get breakfast,” I said.
She nodded and continued to dress Xavier.
When I arrived in the kitchen, Kasey was making David, Mackenzie and Matthew’s breakfast. Apparently Cooper was already fed.
“What are you making?” I asked.
“French toast,” Kasey replied, “Mom taught be the other day how to make it!”
I nodded, I decided to get cereal. I went to the cupboard and got some cheerios out, walked to the fridge got some milk out and made myself a bowl of cereal.
“What are you making for lunch today?” I asked Kasey.
“I’m making everyone that goes to school a ham and cheese sandwich, you want one?”
Kasey’s job everyday was to make lunch for school, of course my Mom pays her five dollars a week allowance, for doing our chorus and taking care of the younger siblings, I get five dollars too!
“Did anyone call for me?” I asked.
Kasey shook her head.
“Where’s Dad?” I asked.
“He’s on the back porch,” Kasey replied, “You should go talk to him!”
I nodded.
“Hello…Jon!” I said, as I was coming down the steps to the porch.
“Aria,” He said, “Lovely day, isn’t it?”
I nodded.
“How did you sleep last night?” I asked.
“I had this dream,” He said, “I took you and Lucy to this concert!”
My eyes widened, is he remembering stuff already?”
“Who was the band?” I asked.
“It wasn’t a band,” He said, “It was a girl, Kelly Parkson,”
“You mean Kelly Clarkson?” I asked.
He nodded.
“Yeah her,”
I started jumping up and down I ran into the house.
“Kasey,” I said, “Dad said he had a dream that he took us to a Kelly Clarkson concert,”
“He did,” Kasey said.
“Exactly,” I said, “He remembers something, that’s a good sign!”
We started jumping up and down together. We were so happy, we were actually sad that we had to go to school. I arrived at home room that day with a smile on my face. Jacob was towards the back of the room, he looked mad.
“Aria,” Our home room teacher said, “Good morning!”
“Morning Mr. Hein,” I said.
“Okay, take your seat,” He said, “I have some announcements,”
I took my seat next to Peyton.
“Why are you so happy?” She whispered.
“I’ll tell you later!” I said, still smiling.
I glanced at Marcus, he smiled.
“Happy October 1st!” Mr. Hein said, “I and the school system have come up with the most awesome idea ever! Thirty days from now, the night of Halloween we are going to have a Halloween party here at Meredith Middle School, the party will take place in the gym, you all have to come dressed in a costume, the tickets are ten dollars and we are going to have a costume contest!”
Everyone, including me was so happy and excited.
“The party starts at seven ‘o clock and ends at eleven,” Mr. Heim said, “Isn’t that exciting?”
95 % of the kids agreed.
“Good,” He said, “Now that that is settled, I have another announcement, two weeks from today our rival, let’s say the other middle school is coming to our school for the school fun day!”
“What’s a school fun day?” Marissa asked.
“The school fun day is like a fair,” He said, “There will be amusement park rides coming from out of town, house of mirrors, competitions held in the back field of our school lot,”
Again people got excited.
“Our school and the other school will be competing in a lot of the sports, soccer, basketball, football, and lacrosse.”
Suddenly Mr. Heim’s phone rang, well the classrooms phone rang.
“Hello?” Mr. Heim said into the phone, “Uh-huh, uh-huh, okay, okay thanks!”
“This just in,” Mr. Heim said, “Instead of the School Fun Day being held here at school it will be held at Marshall Park, a park not far from here that has lots of fields and playgrounds for kids to play on.”
I was so excited for the School Fun Day and the Halloween party.
”So when exactly is the School Fun Day?” Jacob asked.
“Saturday, September 20th!” Mr. Heim said.
Mr. Heim was just as excited as us kids, it was funny!
“For more information, you will receive a small book in the mail with the schedule of events and everything else you need to know,”
The bell began to ring.
“Enjoy the rest of the day!” Mr. Heim said.
With that we got up out of our seats and made our way to our lockers, as I was heading out Marcus grabbed my hand.
“Hey,” He said kissing me, “How are you?”
“Fine,” I said, “Really fine!”
Here is the Twenty-Sixth chapter but first...
"
that was awful...!!
AWFULLY GOOD! <3 awesome stuff ... hope Xavier's okayy though <3" by Mej!
Chapter Twenty-Six!
“Aria,” My Mother shouted from upstairs, “Help!”
I ran upstairs to where I heard her voice, it was coming from her bedroom. I ran into her bedroom, and there was Xavier crying his eyes out, blood streaming down his face.
“What happened…?” I asked.
“He was running from me and he fell and hit his head,” My Mother said, “Call 9-1-1!”
I obeyed, and ran back downstairs and dialed the number. A minute later an ambulance showed up and my Mother and Xavier rode in the ambulance, she told me to stay behind and watch the other children.
“Poor Xavier,” Lucy cried, “He’ll be okay though! He will be okay right?”
I nodded, this was a thing that I knew that he was going to be okay, but it still made me sad to think how hurt Xavier was. I was so excited about the events that Mr. Heim shared with us today. It was dinnertime, so I decided to cook some Pasta. My Father went out with Mr. Hogan for the night.
“It’s dinner time!” I shouted upstairs. A minute later the sounds of hungry kids came running down the steps.
“Slow down,” I said, “We don’t need another person getting hurt!”
They all piled into the dining room and started eating. The door bell rang, I knew exactly who it was, it was Marcus I had called him over.
“Kasey,” I said, “Watch the kids, I’m going for a midnight stroll with Marcus.”
“It’s not midnight,” Kasey said, “and plus Mom put you in charge,”
“I won’t be long,” I said grabbing my jacket.
I opened the door, and Marcus grabbed my hand and started kissing me.
I giggled.
“What was that for?” I asked.
He shrugged.
“That’s what boyfriend and girlfriends do, don’t them?”
I nodded, and I kissed him again.
“Shall we walk…?” I asked.
“How about shall we dance?” He said.
Without warning, he grabbed my hand and we started dancing on my front porch, who knew if Jacob was watching I hope he wasn’t!
A car pulled into the driveway.
Shoot! I thought, it’s my Mom, how’d she get a car?”
Then I remembered Jacob’s Mom taking the car to my Mom so she could drive home. Mrs. Hogan got out of the car, said goodbye to my Mom and walked across the street to her house, my Mom got out of the drivers seat and went over to the back seat and got Xavier out of the car. He looked the same, he was happy no one would have guessed he just got out of the hospital except for the fact that he had a bandage on his head.
My Mother walked up the front steps, and smiled.
“Marcus,” She said, “How are you?”
“I’m fine,” He said, “You…?”
“I’ve been better.”
She looked like she was on the verge of crying.
“How’s Xavier?” I asked.
“He’s fine!” My Mother said, “Now get back to dancing,”
I blushed, and she started to smile. A minute later it was just Marcus and I.
“So,” I said sitting down on a chair, “What are you most excited for, the Halloween party or the school fun day?”
“I’m excited for the Halloween party,” He said, “you…?”
“I’m excited for both!”
“What should we dress up as?” Marcus asked, “How about we dress up as Edward and Bella?”
I forced a laugh.
“Actually…” I said, sitting on his lap, “I was thinking Peyton and I could dress up as cheerleaders, if you want you can be one too!”
He laughed.
“No thank you!” He said.
I laughed, that would be very, VERY funny!
Here is the twenty-seventh! but first...actually I didn't get any commented :( Please read and comment! Thanks!
“Arianna,” Ezra said, “What a sweet name!”
“Shut up!” I said.
“Excuse me…?” Ezra said taking a step toward me.
There I was in the school corridor, getting picked on by Ezra.
“You heard me,” I said, “Shut…up!”
I admit I hesitated, but I still said it again. He grabbed my shirt and pinned me against the wall. All of a sudden there were like twenty people surrounding us staring at what was going on. A moment later Jacob came running down the corridor pushed aside the people, and walked over to us. He grabbed Ezra from behind and kicked him in the soft spot.
“You touch her again,” Jacob said, “You will pay!”
With that he pushed Ezra down to the ground, glared at me and ran off. Ezra and his minions quickly disappeared and so did the crowd that was still dumb-founded by everything. I raced after Jacob;
“Jacob!” I yelled, “Here me out.”
He stopped and slowly turned around.
“You’re welcome,” He said doing an awkward bow.
He started to turn around and continue to walk down the corridor, I grabbed his jacket.
“Here me out,” I said, “First I want to say thank you!”
“Again, you’re welcome!”
“I love him!” I said.
“W-what…?”
“Marcus,” I said, “I love Marcus!”
“You’re point…?” Jacob said.
“No one can keep me from staying away from him,” I said, “Just because I’m dating someone you don’t like does that mean I shouldn’t date him?”
“Yeah, pretty much!”
“You jerk!” I said pinning him to the wall just like Ezra did to me.
“You are making my life a freakin soap opera!” I said, “Please STOP!!!”
“Aria…”
“No Aria,” I interrupted, “I want to be friends with you and you’re making it very hard.”
“As long as you’re dating that jerk I won’t be around.”
He pushed me out of the way and continued to walk down the corridor. It was Wednesday and so far my day has been a total disaster. Marcus didn’t show up at school, I was beginning to worry. He didn’t call me or even text for that matter. I banged my fists on some random locker and fell to the ground sobbing. I wanted everything to be the way it was before I even started middle school Jacob and I were best friends, then we became friends in sixth grade and now we’re practically enemies. Is Jacob worth me breaking up with super hot Marcus? I wiped the tears away and slowly got up, I kicked the locker, (I felt bad for whoever’s locker that was) and walked down the corridor. School was over, no one was in the school but me. I walked out the double doors that I have hated ever since I started going to this school, if middle school is this bad what is high school like? The wind started blowing and I found myself with messy hair when I looked into the mirror of my room when I got home.
“How was school…?” Kasey asked.
“Horrible!”
That was all I said for I didn’t want to say anything more. I slipped off my shoes, got into bed and covered my whole body with my blankets. A memory formed in my head;
Ring, ring, rinnnggggg!!! The phone rang and I ran to answer it, it was Jacob;
“What’s up Jake…?” I asked.
“Hey,” He said, “summer is almost over, we are about to go into middle school and I have this feeling that it’s going to be kind of difficult. Will you, Aria Jones…”
“Marry me!” I said jokingly, “I would love too!”
We laughed hysterically.
“No,” He said, “I mean will you, Aria Jones camp outside my backyard tonight…?”
“Oh my God,” I said, “Yes, I would like to sleep outside!!”
Jacob laughed.
“Get packing,” He said, “Meet me outside soon!”
I said okay and we hanged up.
My phone began to ring. It was Marcus…I really didn’t want to talk to him but I’ve been worrying about him that whole day so I answered the phone.
“Hello!” I said, “What the heck have you been doing?”
“Sorry,” He said, “I ran into trouble on my way to school!”
His voice was shaky.
“What kind of trouble…?” I asked.
“Meet me halfway!” He said, and then he hanged up.
Meet halfway…? From where, his house? I was so confused I jumped out of my bed slipped on some flip flops and ran out the front door.
Here is the latest chapter which has been posted for a while but first...
"Defintly one of the bestg chpaters yet!!!" From Grace
I decided my best bet was to go halfway to his house. The walk was really long even walking half way. If anything bad happened to Marcus I hoped he could wait till I got there. After ten minutes of walking I started to run, I really, really hoped Marcus was okay. I finally realized that I had no clue where halfway was. I knew Peyton lived in the neighborhood I was now roaming so I dashed down
“Hi, is Peyton here?” I asked.
“Who are you…?” He asked, he sounded drunk.
Peyton’s Dad and I have not meant before, I never go over Peyton’s house because I really didn’t like the stories I have heard about her parents. They were still living together but they separated so Peyton’s Mom dates everyone in town and so does her Dad not as much as her Mom though; He’s just abusive to Peyton, both mentally and physically. Over the years I taught Peyton to stand up for herself, though once in a while she still comes to school with a bruised…something!
“Is Peyton here?” I repeated.
“I said who are you?” His voice raised a little.
“I’m Peyton’s friend,” I said, trying to stay calm even though I hated this guy so much, “I’m Aria.”
I put out my hand, he didn’t shake it.
He was just about to close the door when Peyton came running down the steps. She glared at her father. He did a bow as if he were bowing to a princess; he was acting like an idiot.
“Aria,” She whispered pushing me outside. She closed the door behind her, “What are you doing here?”
“I need your internet.” I said.
“Why…?”
“I need to go on Google Maps and find out what’s halfway to Marcus’s house.”
“Why?” She asked.
“I’ll explain later.”
We were now sitting on her front porch.
“Here’s my Ipod,” She said handing me her Ipod touch, “The internet should reach out here.”
I quickly grabbed it and got on Google maps.
“I know where he is!” I said, handing her back her Ipod.
“Thanks!” I said hugging her. With that I ran down the front steps and headed north. Marcus was at the old, abandoned Movie Theater, no wonder he ran into trouble. There is always stuff on the news about vandalism and stuff like that. I arrived at the Movie Theater and I ran to the back of the theater.
“Marcus!” I yelled, “Where are you…?”
He emerged from behind a bush.
“What happened…?” I asked.
“Some punks showed up here I tried to scare them away, but they hit me instead of living.”
I noticed his face right away he had a bloody nose and his lip was bleeding.
I ran up to him, and hugged him.
“You’re lucky you aren’t that bad!” I said.
He nodded. I kissed him on the lips, he kissed back. We walked home together, hand in hand. We talked about things, and we talked about what’s going to happen between us, our future together. He simply shrugged and said,
“We just have to take one step at a time.”
I nodded at that response.
