Stone chapter 1 part 2

All three teenagers awoke early the next morning.  They sat there waiting, waiting for something, anything to happen.

"That's it!"  Topaz shouted.  "The sun!  It rises in the east and sets in the west.  That means over there is the east!"  Topaz stuck out her index finger with incredible zeal.  "And since we are in the Atlantic, all we need to do is go west, that way!"  Opal hugged her sister. 

"Topaz, you are a genius!  A pure genius!  Unlike our friend, Kyle here."  Opal gave him a stare.

"Me, what did I do?"  Kyle suddenly sat up. 

"It was your idea to go out on this motorboat.  You said your uncle wouldn't mind us "borrowing" it.  Opal suddenly burst into tears again.  "Mom has no idea where I am!  Top, does your cell phone has service?"  Opal's light blond hair hung over her face. 

Topaz flipped open her phone.  "No, but maybe if I stood up,"  Topaz began to get on her feet in the extremely small motorboat.  The boat began to wobble and so did Topaz. 

"No service,"  She began to move backwards.  Her calves bumped the edge of the boat.  "I got it!"  Topaz shrieked.  She began to twirl in excitment.  "Now we can call-"  The girl then flipped over the side of the boat into the cold water.
