I watched as the eyeball went back into his head.

Vidik staggered backwards, throwing his arms out behind him. The fur on his massive body began to fall out, and the scales underneath fell off. Then, he began shrinking. Until he was a human again. But it didn't stop there. He faded until there was nothing left of him but her blue eye, which rolled around at my feet. I sighed. He was dead.

Then, I remembered Lia was dead. I burst though the doors of the palace, the four remaining stones jangling around in my pocket. I ran for miles, not really caring where I was going. I didn't want to call Vendi, to see if she knew where Lia was. I was going to find her on my own. 

Finally, I saw her. Linda was many feet away from her cold, lifeless body, sobbing her eyes out. Jake was standing over her, tears in the corners of his eyes. Vendi's head was resting on her chest, as if listening for the heartbeat that wasn't there.

"She's dead, guys." I said.

Vendi whipped around at the sound of my voice. "Daisy!!!!" She shrieked, running over to me, and tackling me in a hug, "We thought you were dead!!!!"

Jake and Linda soon caught up. "Daisy!" They took turns hugging me. After I had had my full share of hugs, Vendi asked the big question, "What happened?"

I told her. I told her everything. Vidik, The mayor getting kidnapped, How my mother died, Amerzeek, how the earth stone broke, how I killed Vidik.

When I finished, Vendi had tears in her eyes. "Oh, Daisy!" She cried, wrapping me in another hug, "It's so horrible you had to experience that!"

"Not as horrible as this experience you're about to face!" Screamed a gruff voice.

Another man stepped into view. He had a jagged scar down the top of his nose and had bulging eyes.

I noticed the eyes were blue. The exact same shade of blue as Vidik's.

"Who are you?" I asked in a shaky voice, even though I already knew the answer.

"Amerzeek." He answered, "Vidik's father."
