   Ava had been ataying with Emery and his sister, Marie, for almost a week when the picture of New York city caught her eye. "No," Marie said when she saw the picture. "It's too expensive to go to New York." "Oh, c'mon please, Marie!" Ava whined. "No," Marie insisted. "Let her go Marie!" Emery said from his spot on the couch. "Don't you start!" Marie growled. "Look, I haven't been there since you met that guy, Carl, ahile you were working at the Plaza Hotel that summer. I'll take her myself if she wants," he said. "Really? Thank you so much Em!!!" Ava cried jumping up. "Well then, we'll leave now, we have some old mo-peds in storage. Go getm packed. We can leave now!" Emery said jumping up. Ava scurried off to get her things ready. "Em-" "dont worry we'll be fine," Emery told his sister. "I promise."

  For a week, Celia had waited for Ava's return but she hadn't come home yet. Claire couldn't take the endless moaning that escaped Celia everytime she thought of Ava. Claire knew that it was time to search for Ava and bring her home. "Cele," she said "I'm going to find Ava!" Celia moaned. Claire was almost 19 but she was very vulnerable... "Good-bye Celia," Claire said as she headed towards the door.  When no answer came she opened the door and stepped itno the swirling snow.

  Claire stood amidst the snow as it came down around her. Savanna had never seen so much snow.  Claire loved the fresh air since she hadn't been out since the day her parents had been murdered.  A tiny smiled pulled at Claire's tiny face as she set off into the snow.  The smile one the best of her. She never looked back once at her former prison...because freedom was calling...freedom was calling!
