Swirling Colors: A Spy Novel Chapter 1 (With Danielle)

Chapter 1:

“Enzo, you know the objective, right?” Sonja asked through the head piece, her voice shaking. Enzo nodded, but knew that she didn’t see this, and replied, with his voice shaking nervously, “Yeah . . . hack into the government files in the boiler room with that special wi-fi connection, get the password to entering the database and then go to that office with the headmaster’s computer, hack in, download the files, get back to HQ, upload the files, and then bingo! Mission accomplished.”

Sonja sighed. It had been hard enough joining forces with the Kantras, but now that they’d finally gotten the job of taking down the government, things had just gotten more complicated. Just having the job of saboteur had risked Enzo’s life hundreds of time. Like the time he’d sneaked into that top secret military facility back in New Mexico and had nearly been shot when someone had spotted him tapping into a file on nuclear weapons facilities out in the Caribbean, mostly in Puerto Rico. The next week, the place was destroyed; causing a solar reaction resulting in radio transmissions being destroyed in many areas after a vital satellite had practically been destroyed. Victory had been sweet that day.

And now he had a newer and more important mission: to hack into secret government files once again, and obtain info on a weapons facility several miles off the coast of Mexico. It had several nuclear weapons that the Kantras wanted to use – and if they wanted it, they would get it. The best way to get the information was to sneak into an academy for special children – children that could be used to take down the Kantras. They had been specially gifted, and now their talents had been put to use. They were undercover government agents that would be used to gather information on unknown US enemies. The good thing was, this academy was so trusted with the government, that they had the connections to gathering this information. And they never suspected someone like Enzo to be as so daring as to actually attempt to do a cyber attack, gather the information, and use it against them.

He breathed in and out silently, and wiped sweat off of his forehead. His jet-black hair helped him blend in with the nearly pitch black hallways. His beady green eyes scanned the halls, a stun-taser gun safely concealed in his pockets. He also had a laptop, but that would come in when he got to the boiler room, where the access to the school’s computer could be found under a heater. When he got into the room, he saw something terrifying: the door was already slightly opened a crack. He heard someone coming out. He panicked and ducked behind a pillar.

He saw a girl, no older than thirteen, coming out of the boiler room, looking suspicious. She obviously had the wi-fi connection. The thing he needed so dearly. He put his hands on the stun gun and began to stalk her. Before she could enter into a different corridor, he jumped out from behind her and hissed, “Drop the connection NOW!” The girl turned around in shock, dropping the connection. Then she quickly pulled out her own.

“Don’t you dare try and take it from me!” She hissed back.

Enzo knew that this showdown wouldn’t be fast.
