The Thirst for Blood Chapter Two EDITED

by Notes of Moonstone
in the drizzling rain, hoping that this counts as a shower

Ding! Ding! Ding! went the school bell. Well, it's time for recess!

I saw Tiffany, one of my friends, and asked," Have you seen Amy? I hadn't seen her in months!" " I am sorry. I really don't know where she is." Tiffany replied. We both sighed when I saw Amy! She was under an oak tree, where we use to hand out. I motioned Tiffany to come and she galloped with her light brown hair in the air.I just walked because I didn't rush. Usually, I would, but a poem inspired me to take my time.
(Not written by me, but by a sick girl whose life is about to end!)

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi"?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Amy gave me chills and I got cold. Her pale complextion made it look like all her blood was drained. But she still was prettier with her long hair and fair eyes and a lot of boys were looking in her direction, weird . Even a boy who I thought liked me! He was staring at her with disbelief in his eyes, but not falling for her like other boys.

A few girls shot jealous looks at her, especially Danielle, who thought she herself was the "queen of the school". Danielle thought she was beautiful, smart, and kind, when she really was plain-looking, dumb, and mean. Yeah, right! Danielle would definitely not be my first pick for a friend.

Amy looked up and saw me. She then managed a small smile, which must've been hard because Tiffany, the strongest girl in our school, was squeezing her to death.

"Whoa, you're cold!" Tiffany cried. "But I don't care!" And she tackled Amy.
