PROLOGUE

Everyone has forgotten. They’ve forgotten the world. They forgot their own heritage. They act like they know our history, but they don’t. I do. And I’d never forget. Because they’d given me life. And that’s all I could ever ask for.

The scientists had it all wrong. They believed that were the smartest, the strongest, but we’re not. There’s something bigger than us, smarter than us. Everyone used to know, but they’ve forgotten. But I remembered. It was impossible to forget. They’d taken my parents and changed my life.
