Chapter 5

Dracula VS Adam

Adam staggered when he finally landed at his destination. It appeared to be on some clouds; high clouds. Then, the first thing he saw was a familiar black cloak. Then, red, dripping fangs. All of a sudden, he saw the figure that he had hoped not to encounter the entire time he would ever be here.

            Dracula was in town.

Dracula drew his sword (which I didn’t know he had!) and I looked closely at it. It was blue on the hilt, and red on the blade. It appeared to glow of dark energy. Then, as Adam drew his sword, he ducked. Dracula’s blade missed him by an inch. Then, he burst forward, ready to kill Adam. However, Adam enjoyed this concept. Swiftly, he cut off a arm. Then, something made him gasp. The arm had grown back! Dracula smiled, and let out a low, scary voice. “Your sword must have been made to kill vampires. However, I am not just A vampire. I am DRACULA!” he boomed, then he attempted to strike again, however, Adam jumped over him this time, and jumped on Dracula’s face. “OOOWW!” he mumbled. He turned, and this time, I felt very strange. There was an illusion! There were 17 clones with the real Dracula next to each other. Then, just as Adam was about to  slash Dracula, a huge rumble sound boomed from the distance. At first, Adam thought STORM! However, it turned out to be a girl. Not just any girl. Jewel.

Jewel needed only a second’s glance before she understood the enemy. “He has a body that can grow back. We need to shatter the body into tiny pieces with some type of really strong weapon.” She informed. Adam nodded. Dracula was scared for a second when he saw Jewel. But then, he smiled. “Traitor! TRAITOR! Your family leads this war, and yet you…you…” he began, but was lost in words. Jewel shrugged, almost a little sarcastically. Then, the next thing you knew, Dracula was being stabbed in the back, and Jewel was standing there, clenching Venomshank with her fists. Adam saw the blood leaking out. Then he understood. The body itself cannot grow back! Only other things such as arms, legs, and head could grow. As Adam saw Dracula throbbing in pain, he realized he should also strike. He maneuvered quickly towards Dracula, raised his sword, and stabbed the chest. For a second, victory would have been assured. But, then Adam felt something clamp against my neck. OH NO! Dracula was about to bite him. He tried to run away, but Dracula just tightened his grip. Then, Adam felt a strange pain…then, he screamed. The blood bite was excruciating. He finally collapsed, and Jewel had no idea whether he was alive or not.

Jewel’s sword tingled through Dracula’s back. Jewel groaned. How could she not have known? Even if the venom was removed, the bite itself was enough to wipe out a human. She was still 100% sure that Adam was alive. He had just been knocked out. She removed her sword a single second, and then stabbed another area. It was harder for Dracula to attack from the back. However, he just twisted his neck, and smiled. Then, he tried to lunge, but at that moment, Jewel withdrew her sword, and he just fell over. Jewel jumped in the air, and stabbed Dracula RIGHT in the chest. Bull’s-eye. Dracula screamed, and for a while, you would have thought he was dead. But he definitely was not finished; just knocked out. To be safe, Jewel decided to kick the vampire off the edge of the clouds. As she watched the black-cloaked bloody figure disappear into the distance, she remembered good news: Vampires can die from a hit on the ground from the sky.

Jewel took 3 days before Adam had finally woken up. By then, she had made a hut, a fireplace, a wooden smooth couch, and 2 beds. Adam gazed at the house in the clouds. They would have to stay here, for both family’s house has been used as battlefields. Jewel sat next to Adam while they watched the stars twinkling and the city below, which was full of lights. They smiled at each other, and then each got into a bed. They had used 3 vampire cloaks as bed covers. As Adam lay there, he remembered what he should’ve talked with Jewel about: Her being a vampire. It had been Dracula who had singled her out, and called her a traitor. What was that supposed to be? Well, obviously, it was true that she WAS a vampire. They had to discuss this tomorrow. Then Adam laughed to himself. He had just thought of something. How in the world would they eat breakfast?
