Chapter 9
Another Day of Head Chopping
Adam covered his ears as he heard the banshee let out another horrifying scream. This was not the type of monster he’d figure that he’d die after a while from the screams. When he thought it was hopeless, it turned out that very second Jewel appeared. She looked at Bloodstriker. Adam knew what SHE meant. He threw the huge sword straight at the banshee. The banshee screamed one last time, and disappeared. Adam tried to recover from the piercing screaming he heard just a while ago. Jewel treated his ear. It turned out to Adam’s ear drums were okay. He felt relieved about that. Then Adam felt very tired. So, once again, he took a nap. That was ridiculous. That was unbelievable. Why? It was because when he woke up, he felt a tingle. When Adam looked outside, he saw a horror. Tons of vampires were outside the house. He drew his sword while Jewel came bursting into the room. “18 million.” She said, frowning. Man, they’d need to save the hot water for our blood to get cleaned. Then, Adam got up, and stepped through the door.
He was immediately greeted by vampire waves. Adam slashed, chopped, stabbed, and sliced my way through the humongous group of vampires. However, these vampires were stronger. It would take two strikes with Ghostwalker and Venomshank, but still luckily only one strike with Bloodstriker. This battle continued for a long time, and Adam continuously dodged heads, arms, and leg parts that were being kicked around. This type of battle was starting to annoy him. He eventually finished the fight, but by then, his shirt looked so red, you’d mistake him as a red shirted man. Adam and Jewel decided Jewel would go first, and so, she quickly finished up her bath. When she did finish, she left the house, and Adam entered. He took a relaxing bath, trying his best to stay nice, cozy, and relaxed. He didn’t have too much of any of those.
2 hours later, He was sitting down with Jewel, eating some sausages, and slowly enjoying his meal. He had been thinking about something. Then, he asked it to Jewel. “What things can we do and you can’t?” he asked. Jewel looked up, thought about it, and answered, “Well, apparently, no vampire has ever given birth. They just take children who become vampires for you to take care of.” She thought another second, and continued, “As much as you might not like it, vampires also can’t seem to get used to humans. That’s why this war is going on.” Adam had finished his dinner just in time. However, that was not all. “Adam, what did your parents do to you?” Jewel asked. Adam shrugged. He pulled up his sleeve. There was a deep cut there, made by his own father.
The next day, the clouds were covering up the bright sun. Adam thought of it as a very nice day. While he lay on the couch, watching TV, Jewel walked in. She had gotten herself ready for this. She turned off the TV with the remote. Adam looked at her, grimacing. Jewel grimaced back, although it looked so weird, Adam laughed. Then, he decided to check the news on the war. The news reporter was talking. “Many people in this war have suffered and fallen, but both sides don’t have a forfeit. Many people who had to take their lives include on our side, a sixteenth of the army, and 1/20 of the marines.” Adam heard that much, but then he dashed through the door. “Where are you going?” Jewel asked. “To find Dad…and Mom.” He answered. “I’ll come with you.” She proclaimed, putting on a coat. Adam shook his head. “We’ll both get injured that way.” He said. Jewel frowned disapprovingly, but gave up and went inside the house. Adam looked at the places below. Parachute Time. He grabbed a parachute, and jumped off the cloud.
As he sank, he began plotting how to stop the war. There were many different possibilities, although very few of them would make sense. He knew he couldn’t severely injure his mom or dad. However, he did have to do minor damage. Minor. When he landed, he immediately threw aside the parachute. He didn’t need it with his ring. He walked around the village, searching for them. He knew Mom and Dad would travel together. So would Jewel’s family. Then, he finally saw them. They glared at each other, ready to fight. Except…
His Dad wasn’t there.
