Hi everyone!!!! This is the very last chapter so please read and comment, okay? I really hope you all enjoyed When The Clock Strikes Twelve and watch out because I'm thinking of writing a sequel...
Chapter 10
I took one quick glance at Edward and raced out after Fern. She was sprinting down the lawn, cackling manically. I saw a dark Rolls Royce parked on the drive and realized that she making a break for the car. “I don’t think so!” I thought and upped my pace.
“You’ll never catch me!” screamed Fern and I knew she was right. She was far ahead of me and I would never have enough time to catch up with her. Reality kicked in and slowed down to a jog, knowing that it was no use running.
Suddenly a dark figure stepped out in front of Fern and she went crashing into them. They landed in a heap on the wet, dew-covered lawn where Fern sat, fumbling with the big stack of money. I saw my chance of catching her and sprinted forward.
Once I reached the confused and panicky Fern I realized who the figure was. There was Viola staring up at me, smiling. Her once beautiful, scarlet dress was ripped, torn and caked in mud. “Hello,” she said dumbly and I laughed. Together we took Fern by the arm and restrained her from running away until Edward arrived with Inspector Jenkins. Jenkins took and pair of handcuffs from his pocket and clasped them around Fern’s wrists.
Edward stared dumbly at Viola. “W-Where were you?” he stammered. “I t-thought you were gone forever!” Before she had time to answer he had his arms around her, whispering,” I’ll never let go of you again.” I smiled warmly and relaxed my shoulders which I realized had been really tense. I had a feeling things were going to be okay.

After the reunited Edward and Viola had had their share of kisses and hugs we went back to the lounge so that I could explain the whole thing. There were some gasps when I told everyone about Fern going out with Edward and wanting revenge for leaving her and when I finished Mom gave me a huge hug and told me how brave I was.
Viola then stood up and explained how Fern had taken her and dumped her down the wishing well in the garden. She was left to die, even if Edward paid the ransom. Viola and spent a lot of time wondering and thinking how she would get out until Lady Ivory came strolling by and helped her get out, only moments ago. Edward thanked Lady Ivory deeply and gave her a cheque for a thousand pounds reward for helping Viola.
The money Fern took was returned to Edward and I was given a share for my ‘efforts’. Fern was later escorted to local police station by Inspector Jenkins and we were invited to the court hearing that would be held a week later. Really there was no doubt that Fern would be proven guilty and sent to prison which I was truly glad about.
I stood out in the gardens not a lot later, watching the sunrise and thinking it all over. The orange haze reflected off the lake, making it all the more beautiful. Edward joined me a few minutes later and patted me on the back. “You did a good job, kid,” he said gratefully and I smiled.
"Thanks," I said lightly, turned and walked back into the heavy warmth of the house. Things were going to be alright.

I like it and the rest of the trilogy! My only CC that I can remember right now, is that the gum on a stick thing is a little cliche(I think. I saw it on TV once.), maybe he makes an electromagnet? Like he has some wire and a battery in his pocket, and he uses them to make a magnet.
