Whirlwind - Chapter 3 (Very short for now.)

CHAPTER THREE

CLAUDIA WAS TIRED with teaching Sadie tricks. She worked once she got back from dreaded school with Nathan and sometimes hardly got any quiet reading time with him at all, and she did really want to finish the Jane Austen novel she picked up. It wasn't expected for Sadie to be so stubborn, and Claudia was wondering who put salt in her sugar. "Sadie." Claudia and Nathan breathed in unison.

"GrrrrrUUFFF!"

" Shake my hand." cooed Nathan somewhat grimly.

Sadie barked, thrashing after Nathan touched her paw, which she had reluctantly lifted. Claudia scratched her head and yawned, knowing that this pet show would be added to her list of failures. The pet show was in a mere hour and the only thing Sadie did properly was prance around in a dress and glittery "dog pumps" which surely wasn't good enough against the other contestants who had gone all out considering the first prize was a large amount of money- five hundred pounds, she believed. Claudia shot a what-do-we-do-now-look at Nathan but he just shrugged while he got Sadie into her hand held kennel, preparing for the big show with loads of not-excitement.
