Happy new year!! And the world didn't end, it ended up only being a small thunder storm, anyway. This is a new mini book thingy that is kinda a parody on the game clue and the movie, which by the way is already a parody. Except this will be a bit more serious. So here's the first chapter, enjoy! I feel like I'm writingtalking really weird lately?!?!?!
The sun shined down brightly against the green evenly cut lawn next to the huge victorian style mansion on a large estate in Scotland. Near the house was a old oak tree that had been growing for several 100 years. The oak tree provided good shade which is why Mr. Richard Pool the owner of the estate decided to set up the tables and chairs underneath it for the small party he was having in a few hours at noon. Richard Pool was small and slightly chubby, he was 64 years old and was bald, he had hazel eyes and many wrinkles around his face. He used a cane since his left knee was damaged when he was in the military a several decades ago.
He walked over to his wife, Mrs. Martha Pool who was reading a book under the oak tree as she slowly drained a cup of coffee. "Are you ready for the guests?" Richard asked.
"For the last ten years, we've have had a party once a week, what makes you think I won'y be ready now?" Martha answered with a smile. Richard didn't answer put instead sat down in the chair beside her. He sat back and closed his eyes and took a deep breathe of the air. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned around to see his butler, John Simms, standing next to him. Simm's smiled and said,
"I'm sorry to interupt you, but Mr. Welles and his wife are here."
"Already," Richard said with slight surprise, "you can tell them to come out to the lawn, and get them some refreshments."
"Yes." Simm's answered and he walked away.
"Martha, I forgot something in the house, I'll be right back, tell Mr. Welles, I'll be back in a moment." Richard said.
"Yes, dear." Martha answered back nonchalantly. Richard stood up and walked into the house. Once in the house he stopped to go to the bathroom and then he went to get the newspaper he had left in his room. All which took ten minutes, then before he went out to the lawn he stopped by the kitchen to make a special request with the cook. He walked into the kitchen and dropped his cane and the newspaper when he saw the cook slumped over the counter with a lead pipe laying next to her. He wobbled over to the cook and shook her, and then he felt her next for a pulse, when he found none, he walked as fast as he could with his injured knee to the yard.
