World of Troodainia~~~SKIRL WRITING CONTEST Update #2

Okay. All I've gotten so far is two entries. They're both WONDERFUL...but it's waaay too hard to choose just between the two. So...I've updates some things, and extended the contest deadline!

Setting:

One day you’re hanging out at school/in your backyard/at the mall/anywhere, and a skirl randomly appears. You, being a reader of WOT, eagerly step through it. Where do you come out at? A little Troodon village? Scale City? The War Palace? The jungles of Veloci or the plains of Hy? Amber’s house? Amber’s school? Describe who you meet and what you see and what you do while you’re there.

Characters and timeline:

You can use any of the characters from WOT in any of the books, or make up your own. Your entry can be set at any point in the series, at any time.

Rules:

1) Your entry MUST be posted before January 7th,

2) Your entry MUST include “For TheAshWolf’s Contest” in the title,

3) Your entry has to be more than five paragraphs,

4) It would be nice if you could directly give me a link to your entry,

5) HAVE FUN! :D

6) Give credit to Sandy for coming up with the prompt. :)

7) Mild cursing ONLY (crap, darn, maybe the occational H-E-double hockysticks).

8) You cannot kill off any of my characters UNLESS they die in the actual book plot.

Prizes:

1^st place winner: A link to your entry will be posted on the WOT Website. I will dedicate three chapters to you, and advertise any three of your books/poems/songs/drawings in each chapter posts. I will also draw you with your very own WOT creature as a pet! (Pumabat, Repteal, Doggoon...)

2^nd place winner: A link to your entry will be posted on the WOT Website. I will dedicate two chapters to you, and advertise any three of your books/poems/songs/drawings in each chapter post.

3^rd place winner: A link to your entry will be posted on the WOT Website. I will also comment on the first four chapters of one of your books, OR four poems.

Grading:

I will grade your entry on description, fluency, and originality. Dialogue will also be minorly graded. Extra credit for anyone who can get all the creatures' names and places spelled correctly! ;) I will not grade you down typo-wise if I find less than five.

DEADLINE: As stated above, you have until Jan. 7th to submit your entry! :D
