The A to Z Club Chapter 5!!! HOPE YOU ENJOY GUYS!!!

Zach and me had never been close. While we were planning in the treehouse, though, he just seemed... nicer. Not that he was my "friend" or whatever. That would be weird.

We started doing meetings once a week. They were actually quite fun, and I was surprised that I looked forward to them. Sometimes we made cookies, and ice cream, and our family guacamole recipe, if we had chips around.

One day, we had made T-shirts to wear only to meetings. Sometimes we wore them to bed. They said THE A TO Z CLUB in all caps and in green. The shirt backround was white.

I woke up to the beep of my alarm clock. I had set my alarm clock in the summer because we had a meeting. I got out of my pajamas and put on my A to Z Club T-shirt and some Bermuda shorts.

I strolled out of my room and into the hallway where Blackie was wandering around. I picked him up. "Hey, boy," I chirped. When we had meetings for some reason I was always in a good mood.

I brought Blackie outside to the tree house. Zach was sitting at the table. Then we started the meeting.

"Hey, Zach," I said.

"Hey," he said back. "Uh, okay, let's start?" He pulled at the threads on his shirt. Then he looked up and smiled. "Sorry about that."

"It's okay," I said. I looked at the microwave. A few days ago, my dad had bought a microwave and had put it in the tree house for us to use. We were both pretty experienced cooks, or, well, I was. My grandma had taught me when I was nine or ten when I stayed at her house for a week.

"What do you want to do today?" I asked him.

"Uhhhh..." Zach's voice trailed off for a few seconds, but soon an idea sparked. "Hey!" he said excitedly. "Why don't we do a campout tonight?"

"Sure," I said. "That's actually a great idea!"
