Whew! So, the very next day after seeing the first Indy movie, my dad rents the second one! It was really, really great!

The thing about this one was that it was VERY dark - no wonder it was rated PG-13. There was a lot of violence and gore, but that didn't really bother me. It wasn't QUITE as good as Raiders of the Lost Ark, I'd say, but it's still good enough to get a five star rating from me!

This was one definitely a movie I'd watch again. One of my favorite scenes was when Indiana was in a trance or something and couldn't think for himself. Harrison Ford really nailed the facial expressions big time in that scene - they were dead-on perfect, exactly the way I'd expect them to be! Once again I'll say, Ford is a GREAT actor!

One scene I did NOT like, however, was when the first human sacrifice was going on. I found myself checking to see if my own heart was still where it should be, beating normally. I think that's as close to being so scared that I'll have nightmares from a movie as I've ever been.

Willie was a really funny character, too - how she was scared of EVERYTHING. I'd been waiting for the moment when she would attack someone herself though, and so I laughed when I was right and she punched that guy during the mine cart chase.

Another favorite scene of mine is when Willie is running screaming away from snakes and bats and all sorts of jungle creatures while Indy and Short Round are having a heated argument about whether one of them cheated. I was sitting there just cracking up. Kind of a pointless scene, but freakin' hilarious! I also loved how they still kept with the whole "Indiana's afraid of snakes" thing after Willie calms down. The snake lands on Willie's shoulder, but she thinks it's the elephant's trunk, and she throws it off angrily right towards Indy, who jumps backwards and gives her a look. Man, that had me laughing.

All in all, it was one of the darkest, scariest movies I've ever seen, but it was also really good and very funny! (In fact, I got so into this movie that at the end, when Indy must have been super exhausted from all the fighting and running, I was shaking with a kind of fake tiredness - not on purpose, either.) NOW I NEED MORE INDIANA JONES!!! YAAAAAH!!!
