The Name Of This Book Is... Secret ~ WARNING - SPOILER INSIDE ~

This book is the first in the Secret series, and is written in a really informal style, with the author interupting you at parts of the book saying stuff like, "Get out of my office! Why are you holding Chapter 6 in your hands? What do you mean, I could have tried harder!?" Some chapters are partially visible, because the author "experimented with invisible ink, and not all the writing has turned up.". But although a little bewildering at first, overall the book is GREAT!
It's about a girl, called Cass (well, the author says she's called Cass, but can't reveal her true name incase the Midnight Sun (baddies) find her), who considers herself a 'survivalist'. Her life is relatively normal, apart from recently finding out that her mum isn't actually her real mum, just an adoptive mum. She has two bonkers junk-loving 'grandfathers' who bought a derelict fire-station to set up their 'antique shop where nothing is for sale'.
Then her life is turned upside down when she stumbles across a secret society, the Terces Society (the more calculating people reading this may realise that Terces is Secret spelt backwards), which was set up by a medieval magician who is known only as the Jester. Their aim is to stop the Midnight Sun (an evil alchemist group intent on finding the secret of immortality) from discovering the secret of eternal life.
NOTE: A way to spot a member of the Midnight Sun is by their obsession of white gloves - all members have managed to find a way to not age their bodies too much. The only exception are their hands, which are as wrinkled as leathery bats.
Anyway, I don;t want to ramble, in case I accidently give a SPOILER!!!!
One last thing - READ IT!
The other books are called:
The Name Of This Book Is Secret
If You're Reading This, It's Too Late
This Book Is Not Good For You
This Isn't What It Looks Like
***SPOILER ALERT*** I can't resist... Later on in the series, you find out that Pseudonemous Bosch is actually Max-Earnest, not Pietro B, although I can forgive you for thinking the author is Pietro, their signature is the same.
