A Book Review by NightOwl0_0 (a girl who is

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Theif, wasn't the book.
It had a lot of changes, Alot of missing characters. BUT! it was a still a great movie! As far as the ages go.....that brought in kids, teens, and some adults in the theater. If it kept to its original ages do you think teens would come?
I think some would, especially the book readers, but i don't think there would be alot.
I think it was better for the movie.......They BASED the book to the movie, not filmed it by every page. Yeah they left out pretty important stuff, like The Oracle of Delphi was NOT in it. Instead they used a *Magical* map which was too much like Harry Potter. And why wasn't Clarisse in it?
The Cabins were different.
Alot of you might be mad at the differences in the movie. in the movie Chris Columbus made the movie in HIS imagination.
In the book, Each and everyone of the readers has its own imagination, perspective of the book.
The one thing why the books are always better than the movie is because....You can see the movie, everyone can see it the same. In the book, everyone see's in differently. Maybe Chris Columbus saw it differently. Thats why the movie was different.
So anyway it was a GREAT! movie, better than i expected it.
Just remember, The BOOK always beats out the movie.
Movie: Everyone see's the same thing.
Book: Everyone see's differently!
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT, please, don't nessasarily complain about the movie, Tell me what YOU saw in the book.
THANKS!
THE ACTORS DID A GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your veiws. I am constanly telling my friends that movies are not the book. A movie would be boring if every single thing was exactly the same in both movie and book. A movie that is based on a book shares 3 things the protaganist the antagonist and the conflict plus some quotes.
Writing isn't like math; in math, two plus two always equals four no matter what your mood is like. With writing, the way you feel changes everything. ~Stephanie Meyer
YES! They really can't leave out charecters with such big parts in the series, like Clarisse!
