This book review is on Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard.
This is one of the best books I have read in a really long time. It includes mystery, romance, horror and not to mention loads of drama.
The story circles around four best friends: Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hanna. There used to be five of them including Ali, but Ali's dead. Ali's been dead since seventh grade, when she mysteriously vanished. Now the remaining four have gone on their seperate ways, never thinking twice about the tight friendship they once shared. Until they start getting the messages. Someone going by the initial A knows all of the dirty secrets they've been keeping. And A is out to get them. Now the four must rely on each other once more to discover who this sinister A is, and to find out what really happened to Ali so many years ago.
You might recognize the plot from the hit TV show, "Pretty Little Liars". But to tell you the truth, you don't have to have watched the show to understand what's going on. I, for one, have never watched the TV show and I understood and loved the book just fine.
Of course, I guess I should mention the bad stuff as well.
This book is veered towards teens. There are some bad words and "mature content" (i.e drinking and driving, kissing, smoking, and sexual talk, although none of it is in detail).
The reading level was perfect for me, and I'm only twelve.
I only think I should warn you because there are some bad parts in this book. But if you can handle reading about stuff like that, by all means go ahead.
Also, this book is meant for girls. Boys, you can go ahead and read it, but be warned. I don't think you'd enjoy reading about makeup, fashion, popularity, and all that other drama. But if you want to, who am I to tell you what or what not to read. ;)
Anyways, this is the first in a series. You'd better not read it if you're not prepared to read the rest of the books, because let me tell you, once you start, you can't stop. There may also be a tiny gigantic cliffhanger at the end, but you didn't hear it from me. :D
So all in all, this was an amazing book that was just the right length.
I hope you enjoy!

I know right? This series is AMAZING. I just got done reading the newest book. Did you know she's continuing? You DEFINITELY need to read the newest one, I think I know who the next A is. >:D I'm twelve, too, and I agree there is some mature content in here. And the last book (before she decided to continue the series) is somewhat disturbing when you read the last chappie, so beware. But overall it's an amazing book. ^_^

Do you think it was appropiate for your age? I would read but I just want to know if it's appropriate.
Put this on your bio if you name inanimate objects. (Where's Frankfurd??? FRANKFURD!!!!! Frankfurd the leaf, you scared me half to death!!)
Like I said before, if you can handle that kind of stuff and be mature about it, you should be able to read it. Yes, there are some bad words and things. I read it and I just don't make a big deal about it. Probably twelve and up. Defiantly do not read if you're younger than that or will take the bad things to heart. All in all, just be careful. If you feel like you need to, there's no harm in skipping a page. :)
