The Red Pyramid (Book One in the Kane Chronicles)

  The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan is a really good novel, with humor that might remind one of the Percy Jackson books.  Although the author of this review hasn't finished it (she's on page 234), lots of the book was claimed to be "hilarious, but also dramatic".  One of the best lines (in the review author's opinion) in the book was: "'Ah, Mastery of the Five Elements!' 'Is that the one we want?' I asked.  'No, but it's a good one.  How to tame the five essential elements of the universe--earth, air, water, fire, and cheese!'  'Cheese?'  He scratched his wax head.  'I'm pretty sure that's the fifth, yes.  But moving right along!'".  Hopefully, the next installment of the Kane Chronicles will be released!
