Well the rating only goes so high, my real rating is 5 googleplex. I LOVE THIS BOOK! This book is about 13 year old Salamanca Tree Hiddle, but everyone just calls her Sal. Sal is traveling with her grandparents to Lewiston, Idaho following her dead mothers foot steps. Along the way she tells the outrageous story of her friend Pheobe, as she tells the story her own story unravels. Her mother died when the tour bus she was riding flipped over a cliff into the rocky land below. It is sad but amazing! You should totally read it!

The author is Sharon Creech. I remember because, though I've never read the book, I've heard of it because I read Ruby Holler, by the same author.
