Chapter 6 The Castle
by Becca M.

Marisa walked until she crossed the bridge. "Phew," said Sarah. "I thought the crocociles were going to eat you." Mrs. Hofman waved from by the castle. "This way," she called. The girls walked to the castle. It was beautiful. Mrs. Hofman knocked on the castle door. The castle was white and looked like Cinderella's castle in Disney. A guard opened the door. "Good evening, ma'am," the guard said, "May I help you?" "Good evening. I am Elaner Hofman and these young ladies have lost a rock. Have you seen one? May I talk to the queen?" explained Mrs. Hofman. "Well, I guess so, but I must find her ma'am. Would you like to sit and have a glass of water in the ballroom," asked the guard. Mrs. Hofman nodded her head. "That would be great" she said. The guard turned to a maid. "Oh, good evening Shirlie" the guard said. "I wasn't quite sure you were here. May you please give these ladies a refreshment" the guard said. "I may sir," Shirlie said, "and I'll lead them to the ballroom." Shirlie led them to the ballroom and sat them on soft cushions and couches. "The queen will arrive as soon as she finishes her work. Is there anything else you need before she arrives?" Shirlie asked. "I'm sure we'll be alright, but thanks anyway," said Mrs. Hofman. Shirlie came back with 3 cups of fruit punch and a bowl of strawberries. Mrs. Hofman thanked Shirlie and waited for the queen to arrive. In a few minutes a tall woman in a pretty dress walked into the ballroom.
