Dear Future Camper,

            Hi, my name is Gabriela.  Most people just call me Gabi.  I am ten years old. It’s the summer of 2009.  I’m about to go to 5^th grade.  Mrs. Wyda was my 4^th grade teacher.  She is also in charge of this camp.  That’s rule #1. You’ll learn 5  rules about her in my letter.

            Mrs. Wyda is the best!  You’ll love her and the crazy words she says like… “For heaven sakes!” and “Ding-Dongs” or my favorite, “That would be a negative!” You’ll also love the way she reads to you.  I loved the way she read the book  “The Witches” by Roald Dahl The witches spoke in a European accent where “We are winners” turned to “Ve are vinners”  This week, we are reading a book called “The BFG”.  It is such a good book.  “BFG” stands for big friendly giant.  Oh, and the author is Roald Dahl.  Mrs. Wyda loves him!  That is rule #2.

            Mrs. Wyda loves to be spoiled by her kids.  She loves flowers and chocolate.  For flowers, I would suggest roses because her name is Rose.  Oh, looks like we have just covered rule #3.  She also craves chocolate.  Her favorites are Godiva, Lindor, and Ghirardelli. Ding!  Ding!  Ding!  That was rule #4.  Let’s not forget presents. One year my friend Alexia and I wrote her a poem and gave her a coffee mug.  Instead of a handle, it had a diamond ring. All she had to do was slip her finger through the ring. It was so cool! She loved it!  Wait, rule #5!!!
