The good news about dogs is that they have puppies.
The bad news is that puppies are being sold or sent to the pound or Humane Society.
The sad news is that if a dog is not adopted within a year, the dog will be killed [put down].
The diabolical news is that the dog is not alive anymore.
The good news about dogs is that dogs get to have playtime with their owners.
The bad news is that their owners go away on a trip.
The sad news is that some owners don’t get a babysitter and then the dogs aren’t cared for.
The diabolical news is that the dog can possibly die or starve.
