I remember…

By Kimberly Lee

I remember when I fell off a 2 story building. I was only 4 years old, and I was so shocked that I couldn’t say a word. Fortunately, there was some Styrofoam on the floor, so it saved my life. “Thank goodness.”

I remember when I heard that my best friend was going to immigrate to America. I was so depressed that I’d never ever see her again. However last Thanksgiving, I visited her house! At first, we felt shy, but then it was just like we were best friends again.

I remember when I first got a cell phone for getting the highest score in my class on a lengthy test. Since I spent about 3 weeks studying for 4 subjects, for the test, I was jubilant when I received my score. On that day, I got two things that I really desired, my own cell phone and a terrific score.

I remember when I first came to America. I was so impressed that it was such a marvelous country! Airports were so massive and clean, and Florida was so warm. I felt like I was on a vacation, even though I was not. I was so glad that I was going to live here for 1 year, instead of Korea. July 23rd, 2008 was a very exciting day of my life.

I remember when I got chosen for math competition against other schools in Broward County. Man, I was so thrilled about it! First, I got a Ripstick which my mom had promised. Then I couldn’t stop thinking of how I’d do in the competition. Every single minute, I imagine my group in first place. Now, I’m practicing really hard. I hope my group gets a good score in May.
