How's this for a storyline?

You know how there are still people MIA (missing in action) from the Vietnam War? I think it would be cool to write a book about an American veteran who was a POW (prisoner of war) and nobody knew it so they deemed him MIA. But there was really much more going on, things that only the captors of the veteran knew. World War 3 was about to erupt.
What do you think?

Haven't thought that far ahead yet....maybe some country wants the whole world to be communist. Or....or.....ummm.....oO! How about North Korea and South Korea are secretly joining together to make a nuclear weapon so they can have a stronger army and conquer China?

But, forgive me if im wrong, but north and south kprea are two extremes. South korea might have wanted to (but that might be risky, depending on the worlds conditions...it could easily spark nuclear war, so maybe you should look up MAD) but, if i remember correctly, china was the only thing keeping us americans from pushing further north, now would making china an enemy be a good move for unified kprea?

I doubt North Korea and South Korea would be secretly joining together, because it wouldn't benefit them. And by the way, won't the prisoner of war be like, sixty or seventy years old?

A black ops team in a historical fiction. Because like nngo said, he would currently be sixty-seventy years old... Also, World War Three could be sparked, maybe the person MIA is a cia agent or something of the sort...Let's just say he/she knows something special (Secret nukes in korea? A new super-weapon? Maybe he's figured out korea has nukes but the koreans don't want this to get out?) and a black ops team has to rescue him/her before this information triggers World War Three. That sounds intense, doesn't it?
