Languages?

Anyone know where I can find french music that's not so....preppy/pop-ish? I'm studying French, and I'd like to listen to french music, but when I tried to find some on Youtube, the only ones I liked were a couple from Gregory Lemarchal and Le Roi Soliel (by a couple, I mean maybe 4 total). Are there French bands that are kinda like any of the following?
Linkin Park
Three Days' Grace
30 Seconds to Mars
Fm Static/TFK
Switchfoot

I don't think France is very deep into that kind of music... which is sad, because I'd love to see some French bands like that. On iTunes, I have a French music option since it's Canadian iTunes... I think... I dunno... but I never listen to them because they're just not my genre de musique. :^I

I'm trying to teach myself Japanese… *Fist pump* I can't actually say anything, really, but I'm focussing on learning kanji. ^_^ Well… being able to write them. Which is a bit lame, but meh. :P Haha, I bet my handwriting in Japanese really, really sucks. But I can't tell, much. DD
